My husband and I celebrated our 6 year wedding anniversary at Manzanita and it was beyond what we could have imagined. We were married at the property 6 years prior and the staff went above and beyond to make our anniversary special. They curated a menu for our dinner based off the dinner for our wedding. And also based a complete cake similar to our wedding cake. Gaby the chef all the staff were so so sweet and attentive. We’ll return to manzanita for decades to come. Thank you Manzanita team.

I had the pleasure of dining at Manzanita, the Ritz Carlton hotel restaurant, during a family reunion in June, and it was an exceptional experience. The journey to the restaurant via the gondola added a unique touch of adventure to our visit.
The ambience at Manzanita is truly top-notch, creating the perfect setting for a special occasion. The friendly and attentive service further enhanced our dining experience, making us feel welcomed and valued.
During these challenging times, the transition to a buffet-style menu was a smart move, and the selection did not disappoint. Our favorites included the succulent duck, perfectly seared scallops, delightful shrimp with brussel sprouts, and the delectable crab dishes. But the highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the amazing tiramisu dessert that left our taste buds dancing with joy.
Our day took an unexpected turn when we realized we had missed the gondola's early closure. However, the Ritz Carlton staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and safety by arranging a van to transport us back to our lodge at the foothill of the mountain. This level of care and service truly made our visit memorable.
Yes it is pricy but it was good and service was excellent. For the entrees we liked the lamb shank more than the duck. And the pine cone dessert was excellent!
The restaurant has a very nice and upscale atmosphere. I had the NY Strip steak which was about 16oz and it was absolutely delicious. It was cooked just how I asked, perfectly pan seared, and the flavor was outstanding.
The serving staff we're very kind and very helpful with explaining menu options, wine lists, and just being friendly. They were very good about making sure you were well taken care of.
Reservations are required and it was nice that when we arrived on time a table was ready for us.
Amazing people and incredible food. Rated one of my top restaurants ever. Well worth the pricing.. Brandon was helping us for the night and made us feel at home. I would recommend for any type of visit. Family oriented or just for you and a special person. We will definitely be returning again. Thank you
Great after 2 pm menu at the bar. Brussel sprouts!! Oh my ❤️ them. Specially drinks pretty tasty too.
Craig, the on-duty manager was very professional. He turned the fireplace on for us and very attentaive to any of our requests. Our waitress, Ali was warm and engaging. She took time to tell us about all the menu choices. We never felt rushed to choose. Needless to say, our dining experience was an A+. Especially dessert. The Manzanita is location inside The Ritz Carlton, Lake Tahoe.

The atmosphere was very nice (*read further for a note against this though). Fire places scattered around, a very distinguishable bar lighting, nice decor. The food was excellent! Lobster mac and cheese was a great starter, a few reasonably priced champagne bottles available, the filet was cooked perfectly and was very very tender. And the smores cake was out of this world! My only complaint and something to consider depending on your plans.. we had aimed for a romantic evening and spent our anniversary dinner here after reading many reviews for places in the Tahoe area. There were children under 12 at nearly every table. I don't have a problem with kids but it certainly took some wind out of the romantic sail to have so many young kids. I would've expected a dress code in place this nice as well, the crowd just really distracted from what I'm sure Ritz worked hard to create with this restaraunt. 4 stars because so much about this place was great, but compared to 2 other nice places we ate on this trip this was the least suitable crowd for a romantic evening.
We had a great time at the lovely Manzanita, at the Ritz Carlton. We enjoyed appetizers including the Gamba (Prawns) and Brussel Sprouts, along with wine and specialty cocktails. Our server Gabby was energetic and sweet. Loved it here!
Had a great time celebrating my birthday here! Will be coming back as menus have a seasonal change. Service is great, theres so much teamwork and I appreciated seeing that too. ☺️
Great Breakfast, the service was excellent.
The Huevos Rancheros were flavorful and the Belgium Waffles were so delicious. I also had two mimosas one with orange juice an the other one with cranberry juice (recommended by Gus).
Mauno the maitre d was very helpful and caring. We celebrated our anniversary with observent but not hovering service from our waitress.
