Dinosaur Bar-b-que

Tried this place for the first time, wish we would have tried it sooner! It was amazing! Everything we ate was delicious! My husband had shrimp, ribs, pork and beef and I had ribs, pork and brisket. All meat was so tender and tasty. The sides were also just as delicious! Mashed w gravy, mashed sweet potatoes, beans, cornbread. The service was great, the place was very clean and we had a great view of the water. We will definitely be back! It's a great place to bring friends from out of town, and the prices were also good.

So first off, quality of the food was superb. I had the wings, a la "garlic chipotle." The server could tell i was torn between the flavors, so he added a small side cup of the devil's duet sauce. I was very pleased, yes, i was able to confirm for myself that the hottest sauce they offer is indeed quite hot. Not unbearable, and still very flavorful, but very hot. The blue cheese (important: NOT RANCH, and honestly if you order wings and they serve them with ranch, please go home) was one of the best blue cheese dressings I've ever had. Not sweet, just pungent enough to be tasted through the creaminess of the base, and neutralize a bit of the heat from the wings. Wings themselves were smoky as all hell, charred absolutely perfectly, not too much, not too little. Well worth the $15ish for 13 wings. Its not like they're small wings either, I'm a 200+ pound guy with an appetite and i was unable to finish them all. The server was gracious, and attentive without being obsessive. He brought drinks for our party of seven and remembered the orders, no notes. We were never left thirsty. Yes, he wore a mask, but he didn't mumble, which was nice. Food was out in less than twenty minutes. Overall great experience, I'd definitely eat there again.

I had a bad experience my first time here Dec 8th, but the manager was so apologetic and gave us a gift card , and seemed very sincere, so we gave them another try on New Years. I got the catfish and my boyfriend got the po’boy. Catfish was BOMB ! The slaw was not good at all unfortunately. We enjoyed the beans and cornbread, but Mac n cheese was Ehh. I really enjoyed the FRIED GREEN TOMATOES and the sauce alongside was fantastic. The deviled eggs....No. Also, they don’t serve hot sauce like in the bottle. If you say you’re a southern restaurant ... that’s essential. They did have a hot sauce that was made in-house but it was not good at all. I saved my catfish, so that I could eat it with some hot sauce and good slaw. The service was decent , nothing special. Wait time was fine.

The food here is good. That being said it is very heavy comfort food laden with sauces. That being said, their sauces are kind of their thing. I just feel like the actually food gets lost in it a bit. Overall everything tastes good. Fun atmosphere to go with friends and usually have live music on weekends. Typically pretty crowded and loud.

I bit spicy but otherwise very yummy, friendly staff, fantastic atmosphere/decor & love that it's right on the Hudson River. It is also wheelchair friendly if you can get in the heavy front doors. The only Vegetarian friendly main dish is a mushroom burger but it is delicious. Mac & cheese is too spicy for most young kids, stick to mashed potatoes or fries as a side for the kids menu. The also give the kids a colorable menu & crayons ...Although this restaurant it's mostly suited for adults, it has a bar & it looks good though I haven't bought alchohol from them before but have been to this restaurant at least 25 times now. The whipped sweet potatoes are very good. It can get busy so call ahead if you want to make sure that you get a table during busy times. They have like 2 dessert options, I believe it was cheesecake & key lime pie last time.I was there. I would love it if they expanded dessert options.
