All was very good, but as some past comments I noted made the point of cost to value. My meal was the spicy Brisket and Ribs dish. While it was tasty, I can’t say the price justified the flavor. I did enjoy the flavor of the BBQ sauce. The twice-baked potato was tasty too. I really do enjoy the atmosphere of Larrupin. The location and this place on a rainy evening made it awesome too. I still recommend Larrupin.

One of the best meals we have ever enjoyed in California. The food was manna from heaven, every bite delicious, every dish perfectly prepared and the libations tasted as of the nectar of the gods! The service was impeccable, prompt and attentive. And eating in the beautiful garden became almost a religious experience. And all for a relatively reasonable price. Definitely, Ten Stars!!!

Finest dining in all of Humboldt County by far. Elegant, sophisticated and consistently delicious! Once went with a large party of 15+ and still every plate was served timely and correctly. Wish it was closer to me.

The decor was elegant and worldly. Our waitress Tamera was exceptional and knew the menu inside out. I would suggest turning up the lights a notch. Our dinners were prepared by an experienced chef. A nice presentation and an array of flavors to seduce the pallette. A great date atmosphere or a gem location to treat your significant other.

We ate here twice in one week while escaping Sacramento's summer heat, and it was delightful. The first time was for my husband's birthday, the second was right before we returned to Sacramento, because it was so good the first time. Good selection of drinks, delicious palette of flavors, and relaxing environment on the patio and in the garden. My only other feedback is it would have been nice if there were more local seafood, but the veggies and the steak both fit the bill. Entrees are ~$50, and reservations are probably a good idea, although they were able to fit us in as walk-ins both at the beginning and end of their dinner hours. So far, this has been our best dining experience in the Eureka / Lost Coast region, and it's worth trying if you're nearby!

The only issue with this place is that I cannot give it 6 stars! Simply amazing from the time you are greeted by the hostess till when you get back in your car to leave. Chefs and wait staff are top tier and masters of their craft. We had the NY strip and Half & Half dinners and they were exquisite. Food was insanely fresh and cooked to perfection. Hands down the number 1 spot for dinner in the area ✌️

One of my favorite restaurants. The rugs on the table tops are pretty awesome. You can definitely get favorite dishes. The menu is pretty consistent minus the specials.

Legendary destination restaurant! For as many times as I’ve been in Humboldt County, I wish I could have dined here as much. Not the case, but when I do it has always been exceptional. The ambiance, the food, and the service have always been an experience. Every community deserves a place like this to call their own. My lamb chops were done perfectly as everything served with them was delicious. The bonus was having Cypress Grove Cheese served with the welcome platter. 😉

Even though it was foggy with a light mist, we were still able to sit out on the patio. Our waiter was amazing! We went with another couple, we all had the specials for that night, chicken marsala and snapper with risotto, everything was delicious! My snapper had a light mesquite smoke with mushroom risotto the chief did an amazing job and the lemon tart dessert was the best. Definitely a must.

Intimate cozy upscale and comfortable restaurant with Great Local and In house specialties. I was pleased with the vegan/vegetarian options and the Tofu Kebabs are huge and yummy. Great appetizers and local seafood. The oysters are a great option for those who eat seafood and the Waitstaff was very nice and well informed about the menu. She was just wonderful! The seating was great as well and we had a great table tucked away upstairs. It is a bit expensive but perfect for Special occasions or indulgence!

I absolutely love coming to Larrupin Cafe for dinner, the food is always excellent and the staff is super friendly. I was very impressed with the addition of the garden seating area - I felt very safe with their Covid precautions, all the staff was properly masked and the tables were adequately spread apart. They started us off with their traditional spread cheese board and it was fresh, well balanced and delicious. We also had the phyllo dough wrapped brie appetizer and it was also great, The main dishes were excellent, the filet mignon was cooked to perfection and the gorgonzola sauce was well seasoned and balanced, not too overpowering. The side salad was wonderful- even though usually its just in the background for many dishes, here the salad shone on its own. The twice baked potatoes were also delicious. The only potential area for improvement in my opinion is the asparagus. These could have been grilled, roasted or cooked on the skillet to add some crunch to them and add a little coarse salt. Lastly, we tried two of the desserts and they were both great. The creme brûlée was creamy and delicious and the tart was also good. The coffee at the end of the meal was good but I do wish they had espresso based drinks. Overall, this is a wonderful place to go for a celebration, a date night or even just for a nice diner. We make a point of coming every time we come visit the area and we are never disappointed.

Michelle said her steak was the she has ever had. I loved my filet and prawns with asparagus. The dessert, a creamy thing with raspberry drizzle whose name escapes me, was amazing. The best jazz plays in this elegant venue. You would have a hard time finding a better dinner anywhere. Staff were very nice also, and it was reasonably priced. We will go every time we are in the Redwood belt up north.

A unique and intimate experience, a destination worth visiting. The ambiance sets the mood for relaxing indulgences. This place seemingly takes you a step back in time, and fosters an environment to present and simply ‘enjoy the moment’. Menu options were ample, with plenty of variety for any discerning palate. Service was expected with attentive staff. The crème brûlée was perfection!

We have wanted to eat here for a long time. We wish Dixie still owned it but that's not the case. Even though we decided to spend our Anniversary in Trinidad and made reservations at Larripins. Our expectations were high and we were not disappointed. The food was superb as was the service. They seem to have an extensive wine menu which is great if you drink alcohol. We don't so we were a bit disappointed they have not thought of us nondrinkers as some other high end restaurants have offering fruitful carbonated mocktails. The decor is unique with throw rugs everywhere including your table top. Prices are high, quality is there and the flavors were fantastic. We recommend if you happen to be in the Trinidad area. Be sure to make reservations.
