I had a truth sub! Yassss and the bean pies are on point too!
My husband brought me home a Salmon dinner with cabbage, rice and mac... it was soooo delicious. Thank you Ila for the delicious meal. I recommend your place 100%
Amazing soul food in a colorful, down home setting with interesting African-American art.
Beautiful people and better food! I have known the Sababu's for Years...Excellent Business!
Upholding the same tradition as her father. Great place to eat! Great Food! Great atmosphere, excellent customer service, very accommodating, good prices. One of the best restaurants in Trenton, NJ.
I needed to feed over 20 people for my daughter's birthday. I was very last minute and Ila Mae's responded very professionally. I was able to get a very large order at a very reasonable price. As always the food was delicious!!! Thank you so much!
Ila Mae's restaurant is superb. The cuisine is scrumptious. The staff is professional and coureous. The ambience is warm and welcoming. It is a wonderful establishment to dine and enjoy the delicious cuisine.
Food was awesome, but a little pricey. It's worth it

I love patronizing black businesses especially Ila Mae's restaurant the food is fresh delicious and the best in Trenton.
Great food!!! Well prepared. Clean restaurant. Friendly staff. Fair prices. Generous servings. Fast service.
They also have an African store that sells dashikis (made in Taiwan, go figure 😂), other articles of clothing, and soaps, body butters, jewelery items and other things.
I had a great meal. I ate it in a relaxing environment while pulling over from a long day of driving. I got a hot dashiki for $10!
Sounds like a bunch of wins is you ask me.
Whether you're passing through on a road trip like I was, or you're a local, definitely check them out please.
I was looking for a restaurant to grab dinner before attending a graduation ceremony at the nearby Cure Arena and I came across this spot. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and have an extensive menu of entrée, sandwich, sides and dessert soul food options (many of which have creative names) that are all full of flavor. The prices are reasonable, portions are generous and they provide fast, friendly service . The restaurant has a warm and homey décor and the counter staff was friendly. Parking is on the street.
