Our family visited the Traverse Bay Café for a Sunday morning breakfast, and it was all around great. Great food, Great service, Great atmosphere all topped off with ‘90s grunge playing in the background which earns the place an extra star in my book!
Our server was exceptional, engaging with everyo
I love this place! My boyfriend and I have gone twice now on our annual trips to Traverse City. Despite being understaffed, the service is amazing and the food is too. It is totally worth the (really only slightly longer than normal) wait.
What a fun surprise! We’d seen this little place many times but never stopped in. We went on a Saturday around 1:00. It wasn’t busy (but there was a snowstorm going on outside…). There were three of us, including my 3 year old grandson. No one looked horrified when we brought him in so definitely f
What a great local spot. We came for breakfast on a Sunday morning and they were hopping. Very cute interior and friendly staff. The interior is a bit dated/worn but clean, so it feels like that comfy sweater you like to wrap up in and just chill. Lots of art on the wall looks like local scenes
As soon as I walked in you immediately get the Michigan nice attitude. Friendly greeting as you walk in. Waitress was so friendly. Offered coffee refills without asking. Ordered monkey bread French toast which is a specialty with local syrup with sausage and the food was set up like a smiley face on
Everyone here is so friendly & the food is awesome! Prices are low compared to many other places. We came here 2 times for breakfast during our 3 day stay. Highly recommend:)
We’ve come here a couple of times now. This last time they only had one chef in the kitchen and were very apologetic and let us know ahead of time. The wait still wasn’t much longer than usual and very much so worth it. Everything was delicious once again and the service was fantastic and friendly,
We were greeted by a super friendly waitress who informed us they only had one cook and it might take longer than usual. We stayed. We have no regrets! Two waitresses rocked the place, could not ask for more friendly service. The food was fantastic and quality was not lacking at all. Tha
We visited the Traverse Bay Cafe back in November, looking for a great brunch restaurant where I could have a lunch sandwich while my husband enjoyed breakfast. This place did not disappoint! Once we were seated, we were greeted to great service and wonderful food. My husband spoke highly of the co
Went here with my brother, he had a French toast and I had the big breakfast, both very good. The big breakfast is nice since it has a bit of everything, although the hashbrowns were maybe a bit too crunchy. Also we both choose the Cuban bread which we quite enjoyed
Traverse Bay Café was a nice surprise! They were understaffed on the day we went, but the servers remained very friendly and worked quickly to get orders out, coffees filled, etc. The food was fantastic and the portion sizes are large. I felt like I was getting my money's worth for sure. I will be b
Best breakfast in TC. Love that they do something original, offering Cuban coffee and Cuban bread, it's our favorite. Front of house is exceptional, including understanding how to stage guests so that they don't overload the kitchen. Top shelf!
Breakfast was delicious! The Cuban bread for the breakfast sandwich was amazing. It was the first time having cuban coffee and it was a lot more flavorful than traditional coffee.
It is a calm place fair price nice vibe really great food will come again
Excellent breakfast. Super attentive and upbeat staff. And somebody in the kitchen knows how to cook!! Oh, and they bake their own bread early in the morning. Great diner in a historic building.
Friendly local diner with delicious food and joyful service. If you are looking for breakfast with a small town fell, look no further. Highly recommended!
Super friendly staff and good things to choose from! Big portions too and close to the beach :) would eat breakfast here again
The food was delicious. This is a unique Traverse Bay eatery. Some of their breakfast menu items have a unique twist on what I am used. (In a very good way) I would definitely eat here again. Our only issue is with the booth seat, It was so uncomfortable. We sank into the seat, which had us sitting
