I eat here a lot. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the area. One time I had an extremely incompetent waitress. But the manager got everything fixed for me. Highly recommend the chicken fried chicken and sawmill gravy. Staff is friendly, food is great, and prices are reasonable. It's fun to shop at the store also. If this is your type of place I would also suggest Cast Iron Kitchen and JK Whisper Cafe (Buckley, Mi) You can't go wrong at any of these places.

Sat us right by the fire on one of the first chilly days of fall. The server was great. Food was not my most favorite breakfast food. I am picky about my eggs and the flavor for sure told me the quality was low. The pancakes were ok, a little too burnt for my linking. My kiddo ordered chicken and dumplings not realizing it's not how I make them so zero veggies. None of us finished our plate. Maybe next time we will try something other than breakfast!

I would like to give a huge thank you to the Manager Rachel working today 10/28 in the Traverse City location. My mother used the restroom and as she was washing her hands, her wedding rings fell off and went down the sink drain. I guarded the sink as another family member went to get a manager. In came Rachel with a bucket and pliers. She took the sink trap off and there was the ring. We can not thank Rachel enough! My mother was so happy. Thank you, thank you Rachel!!!!!

Cracker Barrel is Cracker Barrel.
Economically priced. Consistent. Good.
Never had a bad meal. Usually get biscuits and gravy but tried their pancake tacos and was not disappointed.
Can't go wrong with going to Cracker Barrel.

Meal wasn't up to Cracker Barrel standards. Up til now, they've always been excellent. They've changed the menu as well. I'll try again. Great staff! Great store

My previous experiences with the wait staff have been great, the latest, not so much. The waiter gave me the check right as I started to eat the meal, I had intended to order more drinks and possibly dessert.
When I asked for ketchup, he asked the table next to mine if they were done with their ketchup bottle, they said yes and he moved it from their table to mine...
Update: My subsequent visit months later was fantastic, with top service. It was busy, but the staff handled that well and were attentive. I wasn't rushed as before, and didn't even need to ask for ketchup.

Great place to stop in & get a home cooked meal instead of fast food! The food was amazing but the service was ok. The shop had lots of goodies & a very helpful worker. Definitely a place to pop in and get that nostalgia feeling!

Our server was Jen and she was awesome. The service was courteous, and attentive. Her knowledge of the menu was extensive, which is always helpful when it's your first time eating somewhere.
I had the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. The food was prepared properly, and came out in a timely fashion. Nothing was over cooked or under cooked and it was all properly seasoned.
The atmosphere was charming and inviting. The facilities were clean and maintained. I would eat there again.

We had the most fabulous server! She was efficient, kind, ATTENTIVE and brought everything in a good timely manner. It made the difference in my day. I had the Grandma’s special with pecan pancakes. So good!

Had a big group from Bay Ridge 55+ and did a great job for the ladies on their outing. I was the only guy with my wife. They just need to work on their gravy for the biscuits and gravy recipes. Biscuits were great. Gordon Foods has the best sausage gravy mix so far in my search.
