Amazing homemade food! Had farm to travel vibes and the cutest location. Very small and cozy like a little hobbit hole.
Get there early! Tables are limited. And the wait is long but worth it.
They had great vegetarian options. The bread and jam is also fresh made
The food was absolutely delicious. We got potatoes, the Egyptian breakfast, the smoked salmon omelet, the tomato omelette, bread and jam, and the pastrami.
10/10 would recommend
What a cute place! I think it can only hold about 10 people, so it's cozy. The food and service were great. The Egyptian beans were well seasoned and the breakfast sandwich was served on a huge piece of bread.
The food was absolutely delicious! We really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of the dining room. We ordered the Frenchies American and the Cubano sandwich special, and we loved both dishes. The homemade biscuits were also amazing!
Went here during my birthday up-north trip and it was one of the best breakfast spots I have been to in the state. Food was made fresh, with fresh ingredients, latte was phenomenal, every food items was fantastic. Be prepared to wait but it is worth it. The atmosphere makes it 100 times better. A bit pricey but worth every penny. Will be back if in TC area again!
I don't think there are earthly words to describe how much I love Frenchies. Ten out of five stars. I have been going here for a long time. We just got some land and what better to celebrate with than some of the best food in Traverse. Lovely service and incredible food. You cannot go wrong getting anything on the menu. The only trouble is that I can't eat everything on the menu in a single sitting.
What a hidden gem! Frenchie's is a cozy spot that's seriously unique. It's different from everywhere else in the best way. The biscuits and raspberry jam are phenomenal, but all of the food is great! Even the coffee was better. It's nice to see a quiet spot with tons of character. Hard to find nowadays.
Food was fantastic! Had the breakfast beans and husband had a pastrami sandwich on house-made bread. We took a chocolate chip cookie with us that was divine with some coffee. Eating area is very small. Don’t be afraid to go to the takeout window!
This may be the best scratch breakfast in Northern Michigan. The seating was outdoors only, 4 tables in the back patio/garden area. This was glorious on a sunny fall day, but may be problematic in inclement weather. However there was a cute to-go window for dining elsewhere.
While absolutely everything on this menu looked and sounded delicious, they make their own pastrami. If you follow my reviews at all you know I am a pastrami/corned beef connoisseur. So as scrumptious as the monte cristo, chorizo sausage and gravy and french toast all sounded, the pastrami hash on the special board was screaming my name. Alas it did not disappoint, tender pulled pastrami, grilled seasoned russet potatoes, a piped red pepper sauce and 2 eggs over easy combined to make a savory world class hash.
The sourdough toast with the freshest raspberry jam was the coup de gras of this breakfast. Absolutely delightful! The french press coffee with real cream was a perfect pick-me-up. And my friend seemed to revel in his fresh crepes places in a pool of amber Michigan made maple syrup.
This is one of those meals that will stick with me for a while. Service and ambiance were too notch as well. Ever since Golden Harvest closed in Lansing's Old Town neighborhood last year, I've been craving my scratch hash fix. Now I just need an excuse to drive 2.5hrs back up to TC to visit again. Highly recommend! Bring a few quarters for the parking meter too.
We love this little place! Get there early when they open to get a table. Only 5 tables in the restaurant. The food was amazing! Had chiro biscuits and gravy. So good! The cappuccino was delicious. Definitely a great spot! I look forward to going again.
This is a really unique spot that is definitely worth checking out. Mark, the server was super kind and gracious. I loved that when I walked in to the 4 table restaurant, I was kindly told to please sit at the "dog" table. I had the mushroom omelet which was absolutely delicious. The chef's choice to use shallots in it really made it!
Frenchies was first pointed out to me and my wife by a local a few years ago. It is a small building with only about 4 or 5 tables, but it is amazing. The menu has lots of italian and spanish influence, as well as a nice section on different coffee types.
The last time we were there, "Frenchie" was cooking and came to our table to make sure we were happy, and that we enjoyed everything. That goes a long way with me.
Great place, breakfast was delicious. They also have a nice sense of humor which is an essential element of the experience. 5/5!
Phenomenally eclectic restaurant. Dishes are beyond savory. Love the Egyptian bean breakfast. It's a really small space and they are only open for a few hours so get there early. Definitely the hidden gem of TC
Had the gyro omelet and it was delicious! The coffee was fresh and the atmosphere welcoming. The staff was very kind, will definitely be coming back.
Delicious, oh man I love this place. Always something different to try, fancy breakfasts, great coffee. It's a family tradition to visit this place every time we come to traverse City. It's tiny inside, only enough seating for 10 or 15 people tops. But the service is great, and the food is tasty. We'll be back!
Frenchies probably has one of my most favorite breakfasts ever. The Egyptian Beans and an egg.... mouthwatering delicious! Seasoned just so with a fresh pop of tomato and feta. I dream of this in my sleep.
So nice and the food and drinks are delicious!
