We visited on a very busy Saturday night and everything was perfect. Our food tasted so fresh and flavorful, we didn't even notice there wasn't salt and pepper on the table until much later. They even have Flor de Cana rum from Nicaragua! The service was excellent as well. And the chocolate creme de leche dessert we split tasted so mouthwatering good, it felt like you should eat it slowly with your eyes closed to savor every bite. Yum! I never write reviews, but Georgina's made such an memorable impression on me and I'm excited to know there will be one in Grand Rapids soon too.
Ya know ive had some great dining experiences. My hometown has some great establishments that have been around for years. Georgina’s is about 286 miles away from where i stay. They serve outstanding food. Quickly and somewhat perfectly. Staff was outstanding. Beautiful actually. Expensive yet worth it, plus they have a great beverage selection. Just needs more art on the walls. Still five star.
My husband and I went to Traverse City for our anniversary. We didn’t have any reservations so we asked a local family on the sidewalk downtown where they liked to eat. The wife made a few suggestions, one being Red Ginger but said she loved Georgina’s and it was her favorite. They were packed and we should have made a reservation, but it was long before we were seated! My husband and I both really enjoyed everything! He got the Stone Bowl which was unusual but good. I got the Pad Tai was we both liked even better. Tons of food, we had to take some back to our hotel. I highly recommend this place!
Open tamale with pork was the best thing I have eaten in a long time. Staff is friendly and fun! Make reservations in summer as this place gets busy! Can’t wait to come back for our anniversary in April!
A wonderful experience! The sidewalk dining was fun, the wine spectacular and the Lo Mein with Asian beef was fantastic! The attentive service capped an amazing lunch.
Best food ever. I loved the very inventive menu.
Almost too many items to decide.
Our waiter was so informative, attentative and friendly.
Definitely will be back. Maybe even this trip!
My husband and I were in Traverse City for our anniversary with another couple and we chose Georgina’s and it was a great selection. Everyone at the table had something different and everything was presented beautifully and the flavors were robust. You should bottle the Nicaraguan hot sauce. That was so good. Highly recommend.
Was in TC on vacation and asked the bartender at Monkey Fist Brewing CO. He recommended Georgina’s and boy were we thankful! Food was delicious, staff was great, the beans are amazing and I would go back just for them!
Seriously amazing food, and never had bad service. This is about my favorite place in town.

Excellent food and ambience! The staff was very professional and attentive! Trip Advisor said there were only 18 seats, but it really had like 76 seats!
We did not know it had a dress code until we walked up, thankfully we were dressed to part that day or that would have been awkward. Prices were a bit more than expected, might have cued in if we knew of dress code, but we did not. Not a problem just nice to know beforehand when possible.
All that being said, the food and service was great! We sat at the bar because the place was packed, and well deserving. Knowledgeable staff of drinks and food pairings, I'm forgetting the names but 2 guys helped and talked to us that day behind the bar. Great energy about the town as well.
We tried a few different things, but stuck to our classic salmon sashimi as it's a fav. Nice slices, very good fish that tasted and looked quality. I mean look at the pics. Delicious pork bag buns and Lobster Dynamite roll. Lots of things sounded good, but the price was a bit much for what we were hoping was a quick and yummy lunch. Again, a little more research we would have seen the dress code, but lots of the menu was pricey.
Wish we tried more but we had to eat and run! Cannot remember the drinks we had, but they were very good. Will for sure be back.
Sooooo amazing. 5 of us for dinner, Dan was our waiter and he was just fabulous. Lots of great suggestions and very attentive despite being very busy. The food is absolutely fantastic with nothing falling short of the mark. Drinks were great, sushi wonderful, as was the miso cod. Will definitely be back. Great manager here too who kept everyone happy.
Small and intimate spot that offers exceptional service (thank you Tiffany), a great vibe and some of the best Sushi I have had in years. We had Chef Dan Special and Seared Salmon which also holds tuna and yummy goodies that were a flavor experience. Waits can be long at peak time so don't be shy about grabbing a spot in the bar/lounge as service is very attentive and comfortable setting. So happy a local friend recommended!
The service, fod, and even presentation were exceptional. Some of the best thai curry we've had, even including local thai restaurants. The sushi was really fresh. Interesting take on the chicken wings, which were great, but the chicken was a little thin. The Naan was also great, even though it was a little thick. Great atmosphere and music also. All in all, some of the best all-around Asian food in the area and we couldn't ask for better service.
"Red Ginger" undoubtedly sits atop our list of favored dining establishments. Its atmosphere exudes elegance, setting the stage for an exceptional dining experience complemented by impeccable service. Don't miss the chance to indulge in their delightful Thai curry and the calamari appetizer—both dishes have undeniably earned their place as must-tries every time we visit.
This is the third time we've tried to eat here. I made a reservation online for a birthday girl. The table was ready at the time requested. The service was very professional, and the menu options are broad. We really enjoyed the pacing of the meal, you can enjoy conversation and drinks. This isn't to say it was slow, we ordered and the food came fairly quickly, just that they staggered the orders as we ate. Everything was very flavorful with our only possible issue being that our yuzu roll fell apart everytime. Would strongly recommend the Chinese ribs and the ginger tuna roll.
Excellent dinner. My husband made a reservation on Tuesday for Thursday dinner at 745pm for my birthday. The reservation asked for an occasion and he input my birthday. We arrived and we seated right away to a birthday card signed by all the staff and chefs. I ordered Lobster Fried Rice and a Glass of wine. He ordered 2 kinds of sushi and a cocktail. We both ordered dessert. They gave us 2 complimentary truffles as a birthday treat with a candle. The atmosphere was lovely and great, though it was a little louder than I expected (which is fine, people were having a great time).
The bathrooms were nice and clean, down 2 floors but looked like there was an elevator too. There is also a coat check.
10/10 with rice, would recommend.
Okay ! This was a great experience but there were a few things that were less so, so I'm just going to break it down into pros and cons to keep it succinct.
Pros :
a fun, sophisticated and elevated atmosphere with a variety of meal selection (Indian and Thai curries, Vietnamese plates, sushi), drinks and wonderful, efficient staff. The food itself was delicious (rainbow roll, spicy salmon roll, Tunagi roll, Vietnamese shaking beef) and came quickly to our table, despite the busyness of the restaurant.
Cons : the sushi rice and the whipped cream. This may feel small, but to me it indicates a foundational whoopsie that I can't ignore. For a $20 sushi roll, I am expecting quality ingredients, most of all the telling sticky but not tacky sushi rice. These rolls did not have that - it was cheap rice and while the insides of the rolls were tasty, the outside rice nearly ruined the experience of eating them. Second, the whipped cream ; I was honored to have the server Mo bring me a complimentary dessert plate for my birthday - two chocolate truffles decorated with whipped cream in the center and a candle. The whipped cream was split (overwhipped) and disappointing. I was grateful for the gesture but the fact the split cream was plated and served made me questing the quality of everything else.
I know I said succinct, alas there it is. For three rolls, two cocktails and one main plate, our bill was about $140 - higher, but not unexpected considering we needed a reservation for a random Wednesday night and there's a dress code at the door. So, four stars, though I waver between 3 and 4 because of the two aforementioned issues. Maybe it was a fluke - worth a try regardless.
Was recommended to us as the bay restaurant in Traverse City. It was fantastic! Excellent service-Dan was great. We split the calamari, lobster dynamite roll, and sea bass. Each was outstanding. We usually ask about best steak or seafood restaurant when traveling but went with the recommendation and sooo glad we did.
This is a great spot for dinner. Tried their grilled Indian flatbread (super yummy) and their orange chicken. Although the chicken was a bit expensive they did serve a big portion so I wasn’t bothered by it. The flavors were really good and I would return when back in the area.
My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary at Red Ginger and had an amazing experience! The cocktails were very delicious and the sushi was the best I’ve ever had. Extremely fresh fish! The pork buns were also incredible. Our server Sarah was very kind and attentive. Hoping to come back soon!
A great restaurant in TC. Highly recommend for a nice meal in town. Staff was friendly, and included a card signed by everyone for our anniversary. Food was well prepared, though I personally could have used some additional spice in my dishes, but I have a higher preference than most…so I understand it’s not the typical Midwest palate. 🙃
This was an absolutely wonderful dining experience. The restaurant is beautiful, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the food amazing. Everything we ordered was prepared to perfection. The sushi was beautiful and the salmon was divine. Finally the cocktails were amazing. We be definitely will be back in the future.
What an amazing place. Food is excellent, service is always great. Highly recomend trying it out. Make sure to call ahead for reservations, its always a wait if you dont
Great spot for dinner with the friends and family or a date. The food was amazing. The staff was very friendly. The location does book fast . Recommend reservations. Portions and prices are perfectly matches
Delicious as always and fantastic service! Amazing atmosphere and great food. Thank you again! ❤
Amazing food! Sarah was our server and she was AMAZING. They accommodated our larger group and all our allergies. Dragon wings and potstickers are a must! The fall old fashion was amazing as well. Highly recommend!
Had a good experience, overpriced i would say, but the sushi was good. We had good service and would probably visit again. We enjoyed a drink and some apps and entrees. The apps were really great, sushi was pretty good and the beef entree was also pretty good, just a little overpriced for what it was. It was good to try it and it was in a good location.
Best salmon I've ever had in my life!! Curry was excellent too. Good size portions. Service was a little slow but satisfactory. Highly recommend.
