Stopped in for the first time...clam strips, shrimp (haddock, scallops, whole belly clams options as well) which came with tasty fries and onion rings. All very fresh, flavorful and huge portions. Lobster rolls back in May!

The food wasn't that great! The kids were asked if they wanted fries with their chicken fingers so I assumed my blue cheese burger would come with fries since I wasn't asked. It was just that. It was okay. The ice cream was okay too. I liked the watermelon sherbet a lot, more than the double chocolate ice cream.

super friendly stuff and all sorts of amazing flavors!
I highly highly recommend the blueberry pie hard ice cream in a waffle cone but by the look of their offerings, you can't go wrong with anything! They must stop on a hot summer's day in towns and Massachusetts!

I lived in Townsend for a good portion of my life and graduated from North Middlesex in 93. I have been going to this Ice cream shop for decades and have never had a problem with my order. The food and Ice cream is really good, nice portions, and the prices are reasonable. Nice place to take the family.

The frappes were good, the food we wouldn't recommend. Ordered four hot dogs and only got two. The guy making the food wasn't wearing any gloves. We waited a long time for the food. When handed the two hot dogs we tried to tell him there were two more and he just walked away from us. With how long it took to get only part of our order, that would have been cold by the time the other part came out so we told them to cancel it and we just wanted a refund for the food portion. Manager seemed annoyed that we wanted a refund for the food. Second time we have come here in two weeks and haven't had a great experience. Not sure if I will return.

Fantastic place, great staff, and good milkshakes! I lost my phone and they held it for me. Someone found it and turned it in. Thanks to whomever found it for turning it in, and to the ice cream factory for holding it.
