Good atmosphere of an old rustic tavern. I ate at the bar but there are also a small side room, as well as a larger open style dining area better for families. Food was good (nice menu of pub items)and servers were friendly. Would have rated higher but they had a run out of a couple things we wante
For a busy Saturday night, we were acknowledged and seated immediately. The waitress was prompt with many choices of sides to accompany our main meal with generous portions. The old time memorabilia that line the walls was great conversation too.
The manager here is SO RUDE. Me and my friends came here to enjoy our time and have drinks. We are all 22 and we got carded once which is fine! This place never disappoints, and reminds me of the restaurant my family had growing up. Amazing crab meat stuffed mushrooms and french onion soup! I ordered take out today, chicken parm....huge portion (I had it for lunch and dinner later), a perfect amount of cheese and breading, pasta was cooked

My wife and I had never been to the Townsend House before and decided to try it for lunch today (Friday, April 8) around 1:15 p.m. I'd love to give a review of the food but unfortunately, the bartender (long, straight black hair, mid-30s+ woman) wasn't interested in serving us.
