Great atmosphere... Great staff... Great food... What more can you ask for! I absolutely love this place. If you live in the area and have never eaten here you need to check it out. Those of you who live out of town, it's definitely worth the drive.

Wonderful service. Great food. We bought an apple pie to bring to my brothers house, the pie was so good the five of us almost finished the whole pie. I highly recommend the red barn. Will definitely go back. 👍👍👍

My Name is Tracy Alexis I happen to be in the Montville Area & was Famished! Not fond of fast food & No Jersey Diner to be found but I did come across a Place called "The Red Barn Restaurant" One of my favorite things to eat is a Turkey BLT on toasted rye bread. I walked into this very Cozy Establishment & was Greeted like Family, I was so Pleasantly Surprised! The waitress was Courteous & Quite friendly. When the food came out it was exactly what I wanted it could not be any fresher & The entire meal was just perfect that's a Rarity especially for the first time in a new place! I will absolutely go back & Recommend this Wonderful Diamond in the Rough that I actually found out has been there for quite some time & is part of this Beautiful Community To Anyone who wants to feel special & Enjoy Delicious Quality Food & Especially feel at home! Sincerely, Tracy Alexis Bertone!

I drive the better part of 3 hours every couple of month just to have breakfast or lunch. Used to go there for lunch every day for years before I moved to Pennsylvania.

I have been coming here for a lot of my life and I love their breakfast specials. Saturday morning we got the French toast special to split and a side of sausage gravy and biscuits (biscuits not featured and were delicious.) This review is about the French toast special. They did an outstanding job splitting the one French toast order amongst two plates. Seriously impressed with the presentation and it was delicious!! 10/10

A hidden local gem. I heard so much about the Red Barn and had to try it. Just oatmeal and coffee on this Wednesday morning visit. The menu options are overwhelming. They have EVERYTHING! The food looked delicious. Great oatmeal and excellent coffee. They do offer daily specials. The counter service was top notch and very friendly and attentive. Made you feel so welcome. Nice pastry and pie selection as well. Very easy parking. Can’t wait to come back.

Amazing food, cozy interior, a must try if you're in the area for lunch! The food: was simple dinner food, but it was so well prepared that you feel like it's fine dining. The eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly. I've never had a French dip before, it did not disappoint! The onion rings were huge and super crispy. The portions are huge so plan ahead! They have a large selection of sodas, juices and other beverages. The atmosphere: is cozy but a bit cramped. The open space definitely gets loud, but it's cool to see the chef working the grill. The restrooms are small, somewhat clean. The price: the food here is very affordable, expect to spend maybe $15-25 per person and you will leave full with a to-go bag.

Delicious food, friendly service. Busy for breakfast dine in and take out. Big menu, something for everyone. Saturday after 12:30pm less busy closes at 3pm. GPS takes the route through a beautiful neighborhood avoiding a left turn on the main road.

I absolutely love this place. It’s a happy, lively place where you can taste the love in the food. I’ve been coming here since a kid, but after moving away for many years and coming back it’s even better than ever. Large breakfast portions, great service and I love that it hasn’t been renovated, keeping the old Towaco feel complete with knotty pine!

Great food, good prices, amazing staff. Everyone is so friendly and seem genuinely happy to be there. A real neighborhood gem. We travel 20 mins to go to breakfast/bruch here! And there is outdoor seating if you want to bring your doggies :)

Fabulous breakfast spot. Could be best one considered top ten in Jersey ! Short staffed But pleasant quick service . Fabulous food ! Great desserts soups. My friend of many many many years and I each decided on the Eggs Benedict. Ate at the counter. No cranky people here . Just dealing with no one wanting to work hence short staffed. Will go back in a heartbeat!

Always on our list when visiting NJ. Greek salad with the gyro meat is a favorite; chicken salad is homemade and yummy. Great comfortable casual atmosphere and the most friendly staff. Just go a see for yourself.

We LOVE this place! Breakfast never disappoints with creative specials every Sat/Sun. The hollindaise is perfection, hash browns are crispy, coffee is superb, home made pies are a must, and the tzatziki is outstanding. A family owned seat yourself joint where you'll always get service with a smile.

Myself and my family have been going to The Red Barn for decades and have always loved it. Today though I feel extra compelled to leave a review. My elderly dad was admitted to the hospital this morning and I learned he won’t be able to attend my wedding this weekend. This news obviously upset me and I couldn’t eat. My fiancé brought me in for some comfort food in hopes I would eat something. Not only was the food delicious and felt like a warm hug on top of the cozy charming atmosphere, the service was wonderful. The staff had no idea about anything going on, however when I stepped out to make a phone call my fiancé struck up a conversation with one of the waitresses and he mentioned our wedding this weekend. When we were ready to leave they said the meal was on the house as a congratulations for our wedding (not knowing anything about my dad in the hospital). Their kindness and generosity without knowing the full story brought me to tears and shed some light on a truly dismal day. This was a very long winded way to say I am incredibly grateful and will continue to be a Red Barn customer for decades to come.

New selections and options on the specials menu handout sheet; they try to accommodate different dietary needs. They have upgraded menus, new hot mugs. I had Sheppards pie which was really nicely made, but could have been hotter. This place is always busy because it is good and affordable. Great service!
