Pig And Pallet

My husband and I visited during the August heatwave and were absolutely delighted with out experience here. The staff were lovely and very welcoming and the food was incredible. I had the starter nachos but the portion size was more than adequate for me as a main meal. They were without a doubt the best nachos I've ever had. You can tell that the team are passionate about barbecue food as it shone through in their meals. My husband was equally complimentary about his pork platter especially with regards to the barbecue beans as he requested more of them to go along with his meal and polished off the lot. Pig and Pallet are about a 3 hour journey each way for us but we will happily be making the trip again!

Is situated at the far end of Topsham and if you like something different this may be just the place for you. The staff are friendly and attentive. Drinks come quickly they have a small choice of draft ales you are bound to find something that you have not tried before. Lager and cider is available. You can purchase some huge scratchings. There are more Ales and IPAs via bottle. It is small clean with wooden seating A very novel toilet and wash basin. They serve food see the menu pictures for details and this was accurate as of June 2022. Loved the place and would return. May not be to everyone's tastes depends what you are into.

Went here for lunch booked a table for 3pm wanted something different and it was! Was with a wheelchair user they were right there with the ramp quite steep to get in and out but worth the effort all the staff were lovely and smiley and welcoming didn’t get names but the serving guy with the beard especially! Very attentive the food was great and lots of it we had the smokehouse barbecue meat tray very filling and chose the beer flight 6 glasses of beer to try they were amazing and came with fresh pork scratchings! Over all a very enjoyable afternoon here didn’t disappoint and we will be back thanks guys!

My son booked a table for 6 for my husbands birthday and we all enjoyed the atmosphere and our dinner. Was a tucked away location and the staff were very polite and friendly. Even gave us an additional plate of ribs as one was smaller than the other. They did this off their own back as we didn't request this or even comment. If you visit you must see the toilet and appreciate the quirky sink too xx

If you are a carnivorous eater and want to feel right at home in a place that caters to your hunger, do not look for any other restaurant in the area of Exeter. We started with the chicken wings and not too quote another fine dining restaurant but they where finger licking delicious, we had them with their own home made BBQ sauce but there is the option to get them spicy. 5 of these for £8,50 can't go wrong there. As a lubricant on the side I had a lovely 1.2% powderkeg greenlight and my lovely wife a twist on a negroni. The main meal for me was the rack of ribs with poutin fries, the meat is so well prepared that it falls off the bone. The rub they use is absolutely one of the finest I tasted and these ribs alone are worth a visit. If you are into a hint of smoke with a light spice touch this is it, sometimes ribs can be served to sweet. Not the case with these ones. If you do go for this meal be aware that it is a good plate of food unfortunately I could not finish all of my portion of super loaded fries. But for £22,50 and £6,- you get an amazing meal that will not leave you hungry out the door. You know when you enter a place if they got everything right from the get go. The theme here is that this restaurant does things with pigs and respects the animal that it comes from with serving it in the most proper way possible. The service is good and a shout out to Christian for it. You will spend an average of £30 to £50 a person here and it is absolutely worth it! Next time I will come back for those spicy chicken wings.
