I visited the restaurant first time today.
We visited the lunchtime. They had only buffet-style cuisine. Those were authentic and delicious dishes!!! So soft naan bread and fluffy rice. Those were so flavorful Indian salad, tandol chicken and Indian dessert. They were also so authentic and delicious.
The buffers were not lots of variety , but taste great each dishes. I can't explain how tasty it was!!!!
The servers were very polite and great hospitality. Very comfortable to eat over there. I highly recommend, you will love it!
I will visit this restaurant again soon!

The service was quick, friendly, and attentive. I ordered the butter chicken (which they customized to my spice level tolerance), Garlic Naan (which was soft and flavorful), and a monsoon cocktail. It was a good experience and will likely be back the next time I'm in town.

Absolutely incredible food, and it’s definitely the BEST Indian food I’ve had! The samosas were excellent, and everything was very well prepared. The service was outstanding as well. Their team is attentive and friendly, creating a relaxed environment where you can enjoy your time with family and friends. I highly recommend trying the Aloo Gobi and Chicken Tikka Masala. It was a five-star dining experience at an affordable price- My fiancé and I will be coming back soon!

This was our first time eating Indian and it was AMAZING! Virgil, the general manager, was very attentive with our service and took the time to explain multiple aspects of the menu to us. He was patient and knew the menu well enough to work with one of our party's dietary restrictions. Every step of our meal, he was able to customize our orders to our spice levels and fine tune his recommendations to our individual wants/needs. I will definitely be stopping by for a meal every time I'm in Topeka!

My husband has been here before and wouldn’t stop talking about it. We went tonight with our 15 month old and we’re treated very well by Virgil. He had great suggestions both for us adult who like a little spice, and something to share with our daughter. We will be back! There are those who love Indian food, and then there are those who have never had it. Hands down the best Indian food I have had!

I am from out of town and I travel a lot for work and one of my favorite things to do when I travel is to try new restaurants. When I come to Topeka for work I usually eat at Monsoon several times. The food is delicious and the briyani dishes are my favorite. Anything with lamb is outstanding! We went last night and the GM Virgil was so helpful to some in our group who didn't want a ton of spice. Overall the experience was amazing and I highly recommend eating here!

Always enjoy going to this restaurant. They’re constantly revamping their menu and recipes and it’s always delicious! Their Briyanis are absolutely delicious and so flavorful and hearty! The garlic naan is so good and their samosas never disappoint. The chutneys make everything so much better. This place is a must try if you’re in the area! Absolutely delicious

The people who work there are not very accommodating to anyone who is not already familiar with that type of food. All of the food is covered so you cannot see it and if you ask questions about what the food is they just look at you and repeat the name of the food which is incredibly unhelpful. On top of that I felt that the food was very bland and the service was not worth the time.
I would not recommend to eat here.

I absolutely love Indian Cuisine. Whenever & wherever I may roam I always make it a point to search out the local establishments. I've had many an Indian dining experiences in many a restaurants across the country. The one I had at Monsoon Indian Grill in Topeka has to rank as one of the top 2 if not the all time best.
In town on business I decided to have dinner there on a Friday night. Nestled away in a quiet corner of a larger retail center commercial building, I was greeted promptly by a friendly gentleman who seated me (Sign #1 that one is about to have a good dining experience). When we arrived at the table he did something that not many establishments do anymore. That is he actually asked me if that table at where he was seating me was satisfactory (Sign #2 that one is about to have a good dining experience).
My water and iced tea arrived promptly along with a complementary basket of crisp papadrums. I decided on the Chicken Khorma, my all-time favorite Indian dish. My server asked the level of spice I preferred- Mild, Medium or Hot (Sign # 3 that one is about to have a good dining experience). I elected on medium spice. Along with that I requested a single order of plain Naan bread.
My meal arrived within approximately 12 to 15 minutes from the time I ordered. The Khorma came of course with a generous portion of basmati rice. The food was also warm- not cold- meaning it is fresh (Sign # 4 that one is about to have a good dining experience).
The taste was exquisite! The consistency of the Khorma gravy was absolutely perfection. Many times I've had the dish at establishments where it was far too thin or thick. Here it was absolutely the way it was meant to be. The chicken chunks were large and very lean- none of the fatty/stringy types you get in some restaurants. The flavor was superb and the level of spice was reflective of what one would consider when ordering it median as I had. The Naan bread also came out piping hot and was an incredibly large portion. Unlike some places I've been this Naan bread was lighter, fluffier and not the overly hard baked, slightly burned crispier Naan that admittedly some people might like. In fact, having the Naan as it came was a very pleasant surprise because it didn't leave me feeling overly stuffed.
The service was impeccable as my food was delivered by another young man with blonde hair who was also very pleasant and came back at least four times during the course of my 20 minute meal (from time food arrived to my request of the check). However his timing was always very well placed. By that I mean he wasn't overbearing in any way. Some servers try so hard to please they can tend to over-deliver and "smother" the patron. This gentleman was very skilled in making the rounds at just the right moment. He was also very conversational as we made some light banter about my being from Oklahoma and family he has there. At no time did my water or tea glass go empty. I did not have to ask for anything but the cheque.
The decor and presentation also earn high marks. The restaurant was very neat, clean and tidy. The food is served from more modern white porcelain dinnerware. Silverware was clean and wrapped neatly in black linen napkins. Monsoon's decor is more modern in nature in terms of architecture, art, etc. and the seating itself was very comfortable. The lighting was also very adequate- not overly bright nor too dark. There was some light instrumental music playing and furthermore one would not even know there was a kitchen there but for the very warm and delicious food one receives. By that I mean there was none of the typical noise that you might expect to hear in any restaurant such as m the clanging of silverware, dishes, etc.
My entire meal rang in a few cents over $21.00 which I believe is extremely reasonable for the excellent dining experience I received. My compliments to the Chef, the management, the staff and all those with a stake in this very fine establishment. I have found my new favorite restaurant of any international flavor for whenever I find myself in the capital of Kansas. Try it out soon if you're in the area and have an amazing dining experience!

First visit and can't wait for my next meal there. Lunch buffet was absolutely delicious and not too hot. I sampled every item that was on the line. If you like it hot they have it on the side. I would say the only problem was the limited parking close but is worth the walk past the mexican restaurant to an enjoyable meal!

This place was amazing! They have a lot of vegan and vegetarian options and the staff was very knowledgeable about the menu! Great service! I already want to go back.

Monsoon Indian Grill is simply well done. The food is delicious and we'll presented. The chef has made various versions of naan that are amazing. It has spice which Topeka needs more of. Definitely a gem.

The buffet is truly phenomenal. Everyone in our party (including some who had never tried Indian food before, and people with varying spice preferences) absolutely raved about the food. In addition, the service was excellent. The restaurant is clean and atmospheric, and the dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. Monsoon is a true Topeka treasure. I would recommend it to anyone in search of a fabulous dining experience.

This place is AMAZING. We ate lunch here today and all of us were absolutely floored at how wonderful everything was. We wanted vegan food, and the waiter was very informed as to what items on the menu would fit that need. Additionally, the owner came out to our table to follow up with us and provide greater details about some of the items they provide. We ordered four entrees and two appetizers and every single thing was delicious. We have already started recommending this place to our friends and can’t wait to return for another meal!

Came two days in a row after trying it for the first time. The service is the ABSOLUTE best service I’ve had at any restaurant and really vegetarian and vegan friendly. The food is delicious and you get such large portions. Definitely my new favorite restaurant!

Hubby and I had a wonderful dining experience. Atmosphere was quiet and the restaurant was impeccably clean. Our server Mark was fantastic, knowledgeable about the menu, patient and helpful with our questions, perfectly pleasant attitude/service/tone and delivered our drinks, appetizers and food with perfect timing! The food was amazing! Perfect portions, great value, great flavor and not overly seasoned or salted! As a vegan I love that my meat eating hubby and myself had adequate selections in all areas of the menu and they did not disappoint. We will definitely be back if we are ever in the area again!

I recommend the variety of Naan they offer! I had naan stuffed with minced mutton, onion and cilantro. It comes with raita, a yogurt based dipping sauce. Amazing.

Amazing food. Fresh and hot....spicy and rich. One of the best places to go for a unique treat.

I really didn't think I liked Indian food that much, but a friend of mine from KC loves it, so we had to try this 'new' place. That was several months ago... and now it's one of my favorite places to eat. The food is fresh, tasty and staff is so friendly. I HIGHLY recommend eating at this establishment !

This place is great! I was pretty surprised since I haven't seen/heard/ate at any good restaurants in Topeka. My work colleague and I stopped here after a work training session and it was SO GOOD! We stopped in during the lunch buffet and I'm happy we did! The food was AMAZING! They had everything I loved and more! The naan was fresh and they had this cabbage that is so good and I've never seen it served at any Indian buffets. The rice and chicken tikka masala were awesome as well! The only downside was that it was so good, that all the chicken in the tikka masala were gone and didn't refill it as soon as they should have but that didn't stop me! The Gulab janum was delicious as well! The servers also walked around and asked each table if they wanted fresh naan! Nice touch! I can't wait to come back to this little gem the next time I'm in Topeka!
