I am giving this place five stars for one specific reason. But I'll talk about that later.
The food was good, the place was pretty clean. The service, however, was exemplary. My friends and I arrived at night soaking wet from riding motorcycles in 42 degree rain. We asked to be seated at the warmest possible spot and they sat us next to the kitchen. We appreciated that. We were well taken cared of. That above and beyond service is what makes me give five stars. I will never give five stars for the way food tastes, how clean the store is, or gimmicky things. Five stars will only come from the way I am treated. Now, I'm sure they just felt sorry for us so they wanted to take care of us more than other people but that was my one experience with this place.

Aside from the random times that we get a server who is sub par, the food is always on point and delicious. The portion-price ratio is great and the food even holds up to the reheat later test. If you're in the mood for this type of food, then this is a good place to stop. Just don't fill up on the delicious free chips and salsa (which has good heat).

Very understaffed which made the food take awhile. There were three other tables filled but they had to clean a table for us. Server was very nice but so frazzled because she was the only one working the floor. They were out of a lot of the choices because they didn't get a delivery. Then just before our food came a mouse ran around a small wall to a hole. Would not suggest this place.

Staff was friendly, but not professional enough. Our server didn't deliver our food after they called it out, so the cook brought it to us, but we weren't given silverware, so we had to wait until about employee came out from the back. The food was okay. The restaurant could use a deep cleaning.

Poor quality all around.
1. Slow service.
2. Not very friendly service.
3. We were the only customers in the restaurant at that moment and our food was cold. How is that even possible? Now I’m home with a very upset stomach.....
4. Drinks were empty and didn’t bother to refill them.
5. And almost charged us full price for a special. Nice try La Frontera.
6. Cook kept shaking his shaggy hair over the stove. & was eating chips with gloves on and put his hands back on our food without changing the gloves. 🤢

Well that was such a disappointment my girlfriend and I couldn’t help but laugh at all the mistakes. We both ordered the same thing, eggs and potatoes. Pretty simple, right? Wrong! The server brought out my order with the fried eggs completely solid, no runny yolk, then asked my girlfriend if she minded having a broken yolk in her eggs cause the cook just broke six eggs attempting to make her order. My girlfriend accepted seeing how we had been waiting nearly 20 minutes already. Then after we ate my plate of food the server returned and noticed the other order never came out. My girlfriend then went to the bathroom and the server brought out the other order with an egg so fried it was more like a boiled egg. All of this was going on while our server, who seemed to be the only person working, had every other table complaint while 3 other staff members sitting at tables on their phones. I didn’t notice one shred of organization in this restaurant. Also the kid who placed our salsa bowl down had some kind of rash he was scratching on his face. This was so bad it was laughable. Don’t think I’ll ever be eating here again.

Absolutely Love this place! They have the best Mexican food I've ever had. Better then my family's home made cooking. It's been in Tooele City for a long time. And they continually have the best Mexican food every time I eat there. I recommend to anyone that has never tried it. 3 Smothered Burritos With Cheese! Is. Really GOOD POPULAR GOOD.

Things have improved a lot at this location. A few months ago they lost most of their staff at the same time. The seem to have recovered from that. The food was consistent with what I order at other locations. And my waitress was friendly and attentive.
