Review Gumbeaux's Cajun Bistro - Tomball

First time at this restaurant and I can say it was a great experience. To start I got a chicken tortilla soup 10 out of 10. Then , I ordered chicken piccata that also was delicious. At the end my czn decided to order a corn bread that we enjoyed. Our waitress was exceptional. I think her name was Lexy (I’ll ask for her next time ). Definitely I’ll go back .

This is my new favorite by far! Every item on our plates was perfect! Real potatoes with real gravy, not the package stuff. The onion rings were made from the sweetest onions. The fish was flaky and the Chicken Fried Steak was delicious. The desserts were absolutely decadent and the bar menu is expansive. I really can’t wait to go back and try more items. Thank you Jerald for coming to our table to greet us and thanks Sierra for your excellent service and suggestions. We did have reservations through Open Table and the place was full as well as the bar area. I would suggest reservations.

This was our first visit to The Republic Grille in Magnolia and it did not disappoint! We were warmly greeted when we walked it and promptly greeted by our fabulous server, Madeline. She offered recommendations and a great sense of humor to our experience. The food was delicious! I ordered the lasagna and my husband ordered the burger. Generous portions for both (which my husband is thankful for). We also ordered martinis and those are hit or miss at places we visit and I have to say it was soooo good we gulped them down before our meal even came! Lol Mark, the manager was informed of our first time visit and came over to our table to welcome us and also sent us over a complimentary dessert of our choice! Top notch experience and I would highly recommend the restaurant to anyone! We will be back!!!

We ate here last night for the first time and we will ABSOLUTELY be back. It was the perfect experience. Our waiter Garrett made us feel welcomed the second we sat down. Our soup, French onion and chicken tortilla was some of ghe best we've ever had. The chicken fried steak was hands down delicious and we understand why it is award-winning. The sweet potato cakes are little bites of heaven and the southern green beans were yummy. And I can't forget the delicious mashed potatoes! A must try restaurant!

Our first time to eat here and it won't be the last!! Really loved the food and service!! We had to share the last bite because we were so full! Strawberry red velvet cake is a must!!! Lane, our waiter was awesome! Def going to ask for him next time. Thank you Nicole for the cake! You're amazing and the cake is amazing and everything is amazing!! 😍😍😍😍

I went last night, Wednesday, and the atmosphere was amazing! Very quiet, relaxing, had a guitarist & singer which really set the relaxing mood. Our server was Danielle, and she took care of the ladies' table. We had great wine, margaritas, and beer! The food was great! Veterans get 50% off there plate. I could be wrong. Please ask first!

Great food, reasonable prices for a full-service sit-down restaurant. Well trained and friendly waitstaff, and a wide menu selection. We have been just as impressed at the level of service when we are dining just the two of us as when we bring extended family for birthday celebrations. Love having options for sitting on the large patio when the weather is pleasant, the bar seating is fun for the two of us and we have enjoyed the smaller quieter room off the side of the main dining room. So many wonderful choices!

I was pleasantly surprised by the decor and food options here. We went on wine Wednesday and got a $30 bottle for $20! We ordered the chicken fried steak, jalapeño Mac n cheese, broccoli, onion rings and peach cobbler. First and foremost I appreciated them putting the gravy on the side without asking! This way the chicken fried steak stays crispy. The full flavor profiles of the chicken fried steak will let you know why it’s award winning. My favorite of the night: jalapeño and bacon Mac and cheese!! So very rich and different levels of flavors. Not too spicy but has a little something something. For being a first time customer we were offered a dessert for free. We chose the peach cobbler and ooooooo myyyyy goodness!!! Absolutely delicious and can definitely be split between two people. HIGHLY recommend it. The only reason I did not give this place 5 stars is because some of our food came out Luke warm/cold (broccoli and the Mac and cheese) we politely ask our waitress if it could be reheated and she immediately addressed the issue. She came back not 2 second later with some hotttt mac and cheese. :) despite this incident, we’ll be going back. I hope this was just a one time fluke with the cold food.

The food was top notch not only in quality but also in presentation everything looked as good as it tasted. We had the artichoke dip and coconut shrimp as appetizers and had the Texifornia Sandwich and Pasta Valentino. The food portions were better than expected. Staff was professional, polite and courteous from the hostess to the server and including the front house manager who checked on us to ensure we were satisfied. We ate here around noon on a Sunday afternoon we were able to walk and get a table. The restaurant is clean and modern and tastefully decorated. 10/10 I would gladly recommend for a casual meal or a buisness lunch, we will definitely eat here again.
