Everyone in the south knows that it is food what brings everyone together, and around great food develops great conversation and even better memories. My wife and I hired 2 Guys 1 Pit BBQ to cater our wedding this past August, and they truly lived up to their hype. Richard, the pit master, and others showed up to the venue hours before our guests arrived to make sure that the food was hot, fresh, and juicy. When it came time to serve they were able to do it in an orderly fashion, which was a massive relief for both my wife and me and our families. The last thing a wedding party wants (and ultimately needs) to worry about is making sure guests are fed and helped on the day of the wedding. Richard and his team were able to accommodate our needs all at the same time. Making sure that our guests were all served and that the food was hot! That brings me to the food.
Many know that when planning for a wedding you are given choices of the same thing from one caterer to the next. Usually a choice of a meat (mostly unappealing) pork, chicken, or the infamous rubbery steak. However with 2 Guys 1 Pit BBQ we were given the choice of award winning meats. Juicy chicken, tender brisket, and delicious sausage. In all honesty, it was the best BBQ I have ever had, (even with multiple trips to the Houston Rodeo Cook-Off). Not only did they set a catering precedent; moreover, they changed the game for choices on wedding food. You no longer have to choose between bland, or less bland, you have the option to choose juicy and wonderful slow cooked BBQ. The conversation at our wedding quickly turned from "how cute the couple is" to "wow this food is absolutely amazing", which made my wife and me extremely happy.
After months of planning 2 Guys 1 Pit BBQ truly brought our wedding together. We are proud to say that they, lived up to their name and satisfied all 152 of our gracious guests. They were PROFESSIONAL, FLEXIBLE, and extremely WELL PRICED. Many of your guests will only remember snippets of your wedding, make sure that YOU stand out with great food from Richard and fantastic team of catering experts!
2 Guys 1 Pit is seriously amazing! They catered, bused and performed the cake cutting for our June 1st wedding at The Farmhouse. The food really speaks for itself! It’s been almost a week since our wedding and we are still receiving compliments on how great the food was along with all the service. The brisket is one of a kind and the chicken was a hit! I also drooled over the potato salad . Dishes were removed from the tables promptly and almost without notice by the guests. We couldn’t have picked a better caterer for the most important day of our lives! Thank you so much to Michelle, her husband and their team!
Love the food here! Had the moist brisket plate with baked beans and cheesy corn and it was all perfect. The hostess was delightful. Lots of seating and a large bar and lots of TVs. Loved the display with the collection of police patches. They definitely know how to make great BBQ!

Ordered online for pickup, quickly ready in 12 minutes. Chicken was the most flavored I've ever had without it being dry. Moist brisket was great, and pork ribs were tender without falling off bone and super flavorable. I will be back again.
Driving through and happened upon this place. Got the 4 meat plate and shared with my spouse. Not disappointed! Spicy sausage, turkey and moist brisket as well as Mac and cheese and greens beans were all on point! The only runner up was the pulled pork, but we didn’t come to Texas to get pulled pork. Prompt service, good food.
I just moved to TX a month and a half ago and I have wanted to try many different places for bbq. I got the two meat combo with moist brisket and regular sausage. It was SO good. I feel like the ordering system of sit down, go to the counter and sit down is a little bit weird. More getting up than I am used to at a restaurant when eating by myself. Food was really good. Brisket was so juicy and delicious. Corn and sweet potato casserole were yummy. This has been my favorite place I have tried so far. Meats are so good and sides are wonderful. I also had the peach cobbles but I ate before taking a photo. Overall odd personal experience sitting by myself but Im not sure if it’s just because I am new to this area but overall WONDERFUL restaurant. I would order many times again.
We were looking for a place we hadn't been, and chose this one. First impression: clean and friendly, and well-lighted with a slight sports bar-ish feel.
We ordered at the counter. Wifey chose the two-meat plate with moist-cut brisket and chicken; I got a BBQ baked potato with moist brisket. That was rounded out by green beans, baked beans, peach cobbler, sweet tea, and a John Daly (vodka and pink lemonade). We sat, they served.
I have to say, everything was pretty good. The only thing we agreed we would change is to have just a little less fat on the brisket. Also, I belatedly realized that I should have left the sauce off of my potato and instead used the sauce containers on the table to better control the amount.
Normally, it is a bus-yourself place, but it was slow (early Sunday afternoon) and one of the staff kindly offered to clear our table. We felt comfortable enough to stay and chat and catch part of the Astros game.
We enjoyed it and we'll be back. 2 Guys 1 Pit made the cut!
My husband and I have been ordering from 2 guys 1 pit weekly for the last month and it never disappoints! This is our favorite BBQ place in Houston. Love that it’s family owned and that they support the local community. Portions sizes are large, price is good, and service is fast. Highly recommend! If you’re in the mood for BBQ, you definitely need to come check out this local establishment!
I visited this weekend for dinner. We got a single beef rib, the fried cheese curds, the cheesy corn, and a spicy sausage sandwich. The beef rib was huge and my fiancé said it was good. The cheese curds were good too - they had a really thick breading on them that was tasty. I liked the cheesy corn, it kind of reminded me of creamed corn with cheese. The spicy sausage was very good! They also had 2 different sauces on the table, regular bbq and spicy. I liked both and thought the spicy had a perfect kick to it. For sure recommend to try this place for some good bbq!
First time here as I live far away in another part of Houston. Excellent BBQ!! I got the 2-meat combo. Great moist brisket. Great pork ribs. Potato salad and coleslaw seem to be homemade. Very good too. Food came out quickly @ 730pm.
Just stopped in here for lunch while passing through Houston on business. It was a great decision to stop here. The bbq here is delicious. I tried the two meat plate with brisket (moist) and the pulled pork. Both were very tasty. The brisket was good and tender. The pork was tender, tasty, and just all around awesome. I got fries with the plate which were pretty good as well. My only knock is the meat was just warm and not hot when it came out. I’d give a 1/2 star deduction for that but Google doesn’t have that option. I couldn’t knock them to a 4 because the food was just too tasty. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try if you’re in the area.

Definitely a family favorite. We usually pick up and take home, but decided to eat inside this day. Great atmosphere and clean.
Take a menu to your table of choice, then order from the front register. For the kids, we usually do the turkey meat and ask for buns so that they can make a sandwich out of it.
The burnt ends plate is plenty of meat. The brisket potatoes are a great size and they are my personal favorite. The whole family walks away with a full belly.
