Dexter's Jamaican Restaurant

We discovered this place on a road trip through Ohio thanks to a search for places to eat on Google Maps. Our group of four felt like we had discovered buried treasure. Friendly service, reasonable cost, and the food is amazing! We were hoping to find something other than the usual chain restaurants that are in every town. Instead we found something we wish we could go back to again and again. The jerk chicken was on special and packed with flavor. Even the vegetables tasted better than I have ever had. I suddenly loved cooked cabbage! They also have some less common choices on the menu like goat and ox tail. Our friends said the curry goat was incredible and wished she had the recipe. On the night we visited at around 8 pm there was a DJ playing music as they were obviously setting up for some kind of music night. It just added to the Jamaican feel.

The food was great! I recommend it, especially if you just want to try a quiet place with tasty food that you haven't been to before. I'll be back soon. It looks really small from the front but it's bigger when you get in. Not many people because of the less than happening location. Parking in back through the alley on the left.
