Yamato Sushi

Five Stars is not not enough. We were greeted then seated with a friendly welcome as soon as we walked through the door. The waiter took his time to explain the menu and made sure our drinks were topped off throughout the evening. He was very attentive and had a great sense of humor. The food was prepared fresh and to perfection. The Oriole sushi was to die for. Fresh crab meat and salmon paired with cream cheese. Yummy. My daughter really enjoyed the deep fried Oreo treat served as her birthday dessert. We will definitely return. Excellent service.

By far in my top three sushi places of all time. Always delicious and always fresh. Great customer service! If you're a sushi fan, Bob's special and the nyann rollsl are my favorites. They also have desserts that everyone enjoys, fried Oreos, banana egg rolls and ice cream. If you are not into sushi there are other dishes are really good as well.

Overrated, bland, not worth $11 each. Was in the mood for sushi, asked Google for a recommendation for sushi nearby. Got 2 orders of combo Shrimp tempura roll & California roll sushi lunches, came with side of lettuce with some orange colored sauce-sweet ginger dressing?? Shrimp tempura was not fresh, tasted like it was re-fried, batter was very hard. The roll appeared to be a piece of fried shrimp wrapped in rice, seaweed, no avocado or cucumber with a spread of some brown/orange colored sauce on top. Each order of sushi had 8 small pieces. Will not be returning to this place.

We did not stay for long. When we first got there we sat ourselves because no one was at the front to seat us. However, when we sat the man came running stating the table was “reserved”, so we moved to another table. Five minutes in another couple came in and sat at the same table. They got served immediately and did not reserve the table. Ten minutes in, still not served, a certain stench started to arise. Not pleasing at all. We got out of there immediately after reading the reviews, that was the last straw.

Ignore the troll (Jasmine) who posted about the smell. I have been coming here since I was working at il Basilico back when Anna and Sal ran that place next door, that’s over a decade ago! I have NEVER had a bad experience here, let alone any “smells” inside. The sushi here is extremely fresh, the staff here and owners are some of the friendliest people you’ll meet, I will always recommend this as my go-to sushi place for anyone visiting or even people who’ve lived here for years but never had the privilege of trying Yamato out
