La Carreta

This was our first time at this location. We have eaten many times at their other location in Winston-Salem. The food does not disappoint! Always fresh, so very tasty! We did not know they were down here, but now that we do, we will be back, many times as I love Mexican food! I had a ribeye dish, I don't remember the name(it's pictured below) it was delicious as their food usually tastes great. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, give them a try!!

This place has really gone down hill since covid happened. The food is subpar now and the service is the worst I've ever seen it. The food is always cold and they never return to the table to refill drinks or the chip basket like they used to do. My daughter's chicken tenders were so over cooked they were literally inedible and she only got to eat the fries. If you ask to order a to go plate close to closing time they say 'I'm sorry but the kitchen is already closed" How is the kitchen closed when you still have several people in the restaurant eating! I have had this same experience twice now back to back. I won't be returning for a while!
