Como Social Club

Went in there last night just to see. I used to be a regular and was there almost every week. The music is still good but the staff, atmosphere, and the entire vibe went from upscale, chill, and classy to white trash, loud, and ghetto. I stayed at the Westin almost every weekend as a staycation because of Como but when they let the previous long time staff go I decided I could find better places to spend my time and money. So just checking it out last night I see I made the right decision. No service, screaming, rowdy, customers, flip flops, white trash and no class. It’s a shame I used to spend a lot of money in that place and now it’s ghetto and poorly run. I feel bad for the musicians because it used to be the perfect atmosphere. This is what happens when you replace good, top tier management with your own new people because they’re your people. I made a promise as long as the new management stayed no more money. I made the right choice because it’s now a dump!

Do you like $18 cocktails and no food service? We went for Latin Night to see Yelba, our favorite local Latin band. First we learned they do not serve food so we had to order quickly from the Italian restaurant downstairs before they closed at 9 and bring it upstairs to our table. Then when we got the tab it felt like a punch in the gut after a good time when we realized the drinks were were $18 a piece. I mean are we in Manhattan? It's a shame that just because the place is in The Woodlands that we're okay paying exorbitant drink prices. In summary, no food service, outrageous drink prices.

Very nice atmosphere. Not extremely spacious but sufficient. The patio overlooking the waterway is fairly small but has great vibes if you can snag 1 of the 4 or 5 available tables. The live band that was performing inside was outstanding. The staff was great as well. Drinks are pretty decent. It definitely feels/looks like a more mature crowd of maybe 35ish and up. Didn't have any food so I can't speak to that. But I'll be back to try for sure.
