First time to this location and it did not disappoint. Steaks were phenomenal! Brian was super attentive! We ordered the New York Strip flight as well as the Filet Mignon flight. Mac and cheese was delicious! Over all great meal! Loved being able to taste 8 different steaks in one sitting.

Love the fried chicken and Friday prime rib special! The sides and desserts are also delicious. Great service along with great food equals a phenomenal dining experience.

The food and service were truly phenomenal; our server made us feel special and he was very attentive. The steak melted in your mouth and was cooked to perfection. The only reason why I don't give it an overall 5 stars is because we have been to their other location in Pearland, and their regular entrees were more diverse than what this location had to offer.

The food and service were great. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the drinks were mixed correctly. Nice place.

Best meal we have had in a while. Server was kind and willing to work with my diet restrictions. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the seasoning was yummy. The price difference in the meat does matter. It was night and day to taste the $60 steak vs the $110. The tenderness was out of this world with the higher end cuts. I really enjoyed my $60 steak but I will be ordering the $110 level next time. Treat yourself if you can and enjoy a satisfying meal.

I’m in the “spirit of the holidays” I am overly gracious and have given Killen’s 2 stars. I guess our first red flag should have been the empty valet slots and half empty parking lot. In the past, there were two or three valet people and cars waiting to pull into the lot. Only one lonely valet guy and he was the only person who actually greeted us.
Inside, a handful of people at the bar and about 30% of the tables filled. We were 20 minutes early and decided to have a per-dinner cocktail at the bar. Well, we got to the bar which had a filthy bar top and plenty of empty drink ware strewn about. Also, nice cloth napkins on the floor. The bartenders were practicing COVID social distance and were staying at least 30 FEET away. We sat and sat and when the bartenders couldn’t be bothered to greet, clean or ask us if they could help, we went back to the hostess and asked to be seated….mentioning of course the filthy bar top and uninterested bartenders. By the way, I think I remembered one of the bartenders from the Bob’s Steak & Chop House days….and we know what happened with them.
So, upon being seated, our server, Kevin, asked if we had dined with them before and if we were celebrating anything. We said it was my birthday (true) and he just said “OK.” OK? How about using those social skills Kevin and saying “happy birthday or welcome back…?” Kevin disappeared and upon resurfacing, he simply asked if we had any questions. To which we politely asked if we could order a cocktail. Off he went then returned to the table to asked what cocktails we’d like. Another absence then return and same question “do we have any questions.” We asked for the wine list, which was a JOKE. We were given a kinda cool leather folio containing the list. However, opening this Harry Potter styled list was just silly. It unfolded to a length that covered half the table. Upon inspection, not a single bottle was one of the solid customer pleasing choices like: Caymus, Heitz, Jordon, Far Niente, or even Decoy. Instead it looks as if someone gave their wife or kid a “job” to keep the occupied and they selected a lot of unknown, uncared about, pet vineyard wines. Most of which starting at 200 bucks and more. I’m not paying 200 or 100 for something nobody has even heard of and you can’t find a rating on Google. We commented on the list and Kevin told us the “featured” wine was 777 from Texas in either Cab or Merlot for $120. Seriously? This guy tells us a Texas wine is 120 bucks….WITH A STRAIGHT FACE!!!
I won’t go on about the poor service even worse Gulf Snapper covered in a heap of so much sauce you couldn’t tell if there was fish under it not, nor will I comment extensively about the Texas Waygu NY Strip I had medium rare with a unevenly seasoned hockey puck sear.
I’ll wrap this up by saying, Kevin surfaced about as much as the Loch Ness Monster so we had to flag others down to get our bill and get the hell out of there.
To top off our experience, when we got into the Uber for the ride home, the guy asked if we had a good dinner, to which we said, in unison, IT SUCKED! He laughed and said a lot of people say that about Killen’s. Too bad we didn’t have this guy taking us to the restaurant instead of picking us up.
The net/net: There are plenty of places in The Woodlands for great steak and they offer excellent service and phenomenal wine selections. Morton’s, Del Frisco’s Grill even Flemings run circles about this dump of a steakhouse. Do yourself a favor and select ANY PLACE else other than here. We learned a $400+ lesson and won’t be back.
Oh yeah, the bathroom was not as filthy…see the photo. But they can’t even manage to provide proper items to dry your hands. This gross, wet roll of towels was a joke.
On a related note: Bob’s started out great at this location then went downhill. Killen’s started out great and hasn’t gone downhill….it’s fallen off a cliff.
Maybe Santa will bring them new bartenders and someone who knows how to manage a fine dining establishment.
My 2 cents (which Biden’s inflation has completely eroded)
Greg T.
