The store is stocked with a large variety of cakes, bread, danishes, boxed bentos, etc., at very reasonable prices, all very neatly packaged. The danishes and Chinese baos were all tasty and beautifully crafted.
The service here is phenomenal. The waitresses were very attentive and the food here is extremely good. I always get the stewed pork belly which is $6.99 from 11am-3pm on weekdays. The bento also comes with a bowl of egg and corn soup which they usually offer free refills on. The amount of food you get for the price is insane. The bakery is amazing. I’ve been getting bread here for several years now and they are always made fresh each morning. The egg tarts here are also pretty good. I also recommend the cold sandwiches and the rice balls.
Delicious Chinese breakfast with bakery items and drinks. Have had many of the many items and have enjoyed them all. Definitely make it a point to come at least one morning when we stay in the area. It can get busy on some mornings but usually is not a problem. They bring out the food as it's ready, so each person gets their food fresh, instead of all at once. Servers are attentive and clarify to make sure they get the order perfect so there is no problem when the food arrives.
This particular location of JJ Bakery in Temple City has a huge Cafe area and this review will be focusing on the experience for the weekend breakfast menu served at the Cafe area. Wow, the menu is quite extensive! However, serving size is definitely Asian, so I was pretty much able to order one of everything and finished it all. Everything from salty soybean milk, fried crullers, and even the pork breakfast burger was done to perfection. During our visit, there was even a yam porridge special that came with an entire platter of porridge side dishes. Since we've visited right as the cafe opened, the crowd only began to show up as we were wrapping up. I can definitely foresee long waits especially later in the morning. Now that JJ Bakery has centralized their operations, all the baked good are standard across the various locations. It’s all just your typical well done Asian baked goods.
Fast service and many selection of Taiwanese food to choose from in their Cafe section and bread/pastries from the bakery section. Parking is horrible in this whole shopping complex so get ready to roam around to find parking spot there!
The best things in life are spongy and sweet and not counting calories. JJ Bakery and Café is a Taiwanese family owned bakery offering traditional Asian breads, cakes, desserts and food. They have other six locations in SGV and Hawaii. This location is in Temple City; situated in a large plaza. I rarely eat cakes or desserts but today was the last day of 2021. I came to get some cakes. I ordered a variety of
cake slices and sweets are as follows: Cream Puff, Creme Brullee, Sponge Cake, Mango Mousse, Chocolate 2x, and French Latte. They all look delicious and delightful and sparkling to my eyes. Moreover, I love how soft and not overwhelming in sweetness. I can surmise they maintained a high quality products at a very affordable price.
This store location was clean, organized and well lit. Customer service was on point. Staff were cordial, competent and followed health protocol. Parking was easy. Overall, I enjoyed all my cakes and sweets. I recommend this bakery.
As close as you get to Taiwanese food in LA. Great breakfast selection. Must have: pork belly bun.
