oh the setback how I love you! the bartenders (Brian and George) are always welcoming. the bathroom is always clean. the bar is never sticky, as are the tables. the atmosphere is always on point even on an extremely busy night. thank you for being the local watering hole and being a place to let the work week melt away. where else can you hear the theme to duck tales play and the entire bar sings? xoxo Setback forever!
The Set Back Inn is a gem. Out front are meters for parking and inside is a casual cash-only dive with cool locals and randoms from the Tarrytown area. The bartender was a cool dude who was easy to chat with and always kept my beer full. I'll be back.
Great selection of beers and ciders. Very cosy. There was a guy playing the guitar singing 90s indie rock. Super entertaining with locals.
Well it was hot - literally the air conditioning was broken but it was everything you want from a bar. Dark, great juke box, and fun to talk to friends. We were there early so it might be a different scene at night.
Great drivey bar, in the best way. Good service, cool vibe. Filled up but stayed chill. Recommend it.
I met here to close a business with my partner, we tasted a can of Guinness, but definitely the one that broke my expectations was the lager from the tap.

Loved this place, tried to go out in Sleepy Hollow proper, it sucked. Thi place had cheap beer and cider, was open late and had the "artist/young" crowd.Skip Beekman Ave Sleepy Hollow, fun as the history is the bars are bad. I really liked this place.

Ended up in this place on our first anniversary during a trip to Tarreytown. We are late nighters and we're looking for a place to hang before heading back to our hotel. We got lucky. Open until 3am, friendly and cool bartenders, good band. Happening lage night spot.
This place is a comfortable, relaxing saloon-styled bar. It is a bit of an older crowd, so the usual clientele aren't dumb kids discovering what it is like to be drunk for the first time. Darts and billiards if you wanna play a game and they always have the 2 tvs on if you wanna watch sports. Jukebox is almost always playing decent tunes and the staff is always great. Paul is the best bartenders they have there.

My favourite bar in the Tarrytown/ Sleepy Hollow area. Just as authentic as the day they opened (or so I would have to assume). Cash only. ATM available. Great selection of all my favourite beers! Pool table and darts for a sporting good time!
Unassuming atmosphere complemented by the warmth of original wooden fixtures made smooth with age. Some things never change, and for that, there is a very good reason.
The most socially inductive place to be in town. They have goldfish, a juke box and I have heard live music.

Very friendly bartenders and a great selection of bottles and cans. Very limited drafts. During the school year the places can get crowded after the international school lets out.

Great blue collar bar. They got a pool table and juke box for anyone looking to do more than drink and socialize. This is a working man's bar for sure. Hipsters keep walking
Shangri-La!!!! The clientele is very attentive to the needs of the patrons. The beer is cold, the pool table is tilted to the right but after a few of those cold beers, you won't notice. Definitely visit Monday and Wednesday evening...the view is spectacular!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cool and friendly bar in Tarrytown. Ive only ever been there on sundays. Bsrtender is friendly and always plenty of tvs showing the games. It is a cash only bar.
