Hunan Chinese Restaurant - Taos - Photo album

Went with my wife on October 27. She had Chicken Chow Mein, and I had Seafood Delight (shrimp, lobster, scallops, fish and steamed vegetables). The taste of my dish was on the level of a top notch Chinese restaurant. The sauce had a delicious buttery taste and the seafood was soft and tender. My
Great food, not a long wait. Anyone confused about services shouldn't be. Signage can't be much clearer. It's just people are... you know. Guys it's not complicated: for the time being there are no waiters. You are given a box of takeout. You can go home and eat it, or you can sit in the dining roo
We didn't mind that it was take-out only. Taos has very nice parks to eat at. When reviews say something is the best they have ever had I am sceptical. This is literally the best Chinese food I have ever had. Very accommodating, super flavorful, awesome prices and kind workers. The General Tso's and
After we tried to go to 3 other places, we thought we would stop here. BOY am I glad we did! The staff was great! The food is absolutely fantastic! I had the crispy duck. Crispy on the outside and oh so moist meat! You have also got to try the sauce that comes with the duck. Yum yum! My husband ha
Favorite Chinese in Taos. Great service! Excellent Covid practices. Still super hot takeout. As a local we go to Hunan quite often. We love the lunch menu. Yum!
Picked up a take out order for vegetable lo mein and bean curd (tofu) with mushrooms and it was delicious! There was a hefty amount of tofu in the mushroom dish along with other veggies. The rice was fresh and cooked to perfection. I recommend this place for vegans and vegetarians.
Decent Chinese food for the area, but not the best. We would go here again. Currently their dining area service is closed, but they do allow you to get takeout and eat it in the dining area.
The best orange chicken I've ever had. Highly recommend this place, it's exceptional!
Best place to eat ever!! Great portions for the price. We got the crispy duck and sesame chicken. Comes w fried rice or steamed white rice. Pupu platter is to great choice to sample a little bit of everything.
A sign said they reopened on May 11th. The restaurant has limited service which is geared for takeout orders. Hunan has no table service but gives you the option to take your takeout order to a dining table to eat your meal. We enjoyed our meal. Several people chose to eat at the restaurant.
Take out only due to COVID!! Peking duck(1/2 order could easily feed 2+) was crispy and moist and came w pancakes & plum sauce. Fried rice was a bit of let down - more steamed than fried. Teryaki Beef was flavorful and lots of it. Orange chicken had lots of orange peel and zest - hearty portion. Tak
Good food I enjoyed it except they said it was take out only did to covid and the said we could still sit in the restaurant just with our take out containers which was kinda confusing to me.. like Is it take out or dine in?
I’ve eaten here twice in a week, and both times it was excellent. Orange chicken and fried rice was freshly made and delicious! Fried dumplings were done just right, with an excellent spicy sauce. Teriyaki chicken on a stick was tender and flavorful. It’s take out only right now, but service is fast
