Hands down amazing food. From what I understand the place is under new ownership and it shows. They remodeled since my last visit and has a very upscale feel (goodbye weird robot thing). The food is beyond fresh and adds a very unique spice to traditional meats. The Kabobs are amazing! Staff is beyond nice and prompt and the live music I got to experience was very relaxing in conjunction with the atmosphere (the bottle of wine helped). This restaurant delivers exactly what you would expect for trying to give you a taste outside of the U.S. Going back for sure!
The food and service is always amazing. They treat everyone like family. If you show up on a Friday or Saturday night you might even learn a Turkish dance. I've lived in Turkey and every time I eat at Istanblu it reminds me of the warm hospitality and great food I experienced in such a beautiful country.
Servers was the best!!! The new owner has a vision that the whole city of Tampa should see!!! FOOD IS THE BEST!!! The atmosphere is electric!!! The closest thing to Turkey without actually going there!! I would urge ALL OF THE TAMPA BAY AREA to go and experience Turkey right there in Ybor City!!!
Great food, better than in Turkey. The new owners took over in September and they are great. Highly recommend, plus ... They deliver!!! This place is family owned and the family is from Turkey. They say everyone who enters is their family.
I ordered the lamb lunch gyro. It looked to good to eat and tasted awesome. I also discovered I love Turkish coffee. Real authentic food in a beautiful restaurant. Definitely going to eat here again.

Live music,great people the food is amazingly awesome I had there lamb meatballs beautiful season great presentation. Hummus was fantastic with home made bread great experience will recommend.
I was walking to an other restaurant when I noticed this place and thought it was time to try something new to me. I am glad I stopped by, although I felt they were understaffed the service was good and the food was as well. I will return to try more dishes.
Great food and service. Don't expect huge portions; most Europeans and Middle Easterns don't eat as much as Americans!
The most amazing service and food ever!! The owner is so friendly and sweet, gave us a 25% discount and the atmosphere was spectacular!!
