Little mom and pop just before the causeway. Don't be scared away by the appearance, tons of locals here. The construction on the road made it difficult to pull in but it was worth the effort.
The birthday girl waitress was friendly and attentive.
2 eggs over easy, sausage patties, grits, Cuban toast.
The sausage patties are hand formed and tasty. But the must have is the Cuban toast!!! So toothy, crispy and delicious. The grits were salted well.
Really liked the coffee, so much better than what I expected from a diner. I drink mine black, this is legit.
My buddy Jason Saltsman got the bacon, 4 slices!! He said it was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing
Olga was fantastic, food was all homemade I had the shrimp and grits and grabbed a deviled crab to go. Definitely worth trying. The owner does all the cooking on a well seasoned flat top grill everyone was friendly and smiling. One of those hole in the wall places that does it right. True original

Great, home cooked meal! What a wonderful spot to stop for a quick, satisfying breakfast or lunch. The food is amazing and the staff is attentive and personable. I meant to take a good photo of the food, but once I had a bite it was too late....so clean plates are all I have to share visually.
The service was lightning fast. As soon as I walked in the door they were helping me. Cheesesteak was absolutely fantastic. The corn bread is to die for period and the prices are absolutely spectacular. Friendly little place on a very busy road. Come check it out definitely worth your while. From start to finish without rushing me at my own convenience sat down ordered 8 paid and was out the door in less than 30 minutes. I was one of three people when I sat down however by the time I was done my meal the entire restaurant was full lunch time.
Great local family owned spot! I get breakfast to go in the mornings, they are on quick and very welcoming.

You have to know that this is an old-school "working class dive", which actually adds to the experience. Family owned and operated and AMAZING food. Crab chowder and grilled fish are beyond amazing.
Have been for breakfast half a dozen times and always the best breakfast. Owner is a super nice guy, gives you the old small town type of vibe still. Not many places like this in Tampa, or any big city...

Above average burger. Okay, this is a working man's lunch place. Several (many) interesting signs. You will likely leave with a full belly.
