After eating at a couple of subpar restaurants in the area, I went to Catrinas. It’s semi small place, but super cute & fun & I must say it was the BEST food I had in days! Everything in the restaurant is homemade, including their own hot sauce, it was tasty but too hot for my palate. I got elote (mex st corn), ordered 1 & devoured it so had to get another! Chips & guac were fantastic Also got chicken tamales w/side of rice & beans & 2 house made margaritas. Delicious! Since the food was such great quality and so good, I ordered a steak quesadilla & flan to go! I was so impressed with everything I’ll be making my way back soon! The service was AMAZING & made me feel comfortable & like family! I would absolutely recommend this place for anyone. Children as well. Nice menu selection for the kiddos Please check them out. Much love!

We had never been in before, walked in sat down. Waited 5 minutes & a lady handed us menus. Figured out what we wanted, continued to sit there another 10 min. Then, we realized we needed to order at the counter. (Kind of annoying, but it's not a deal breaker) Restaurant clean, prices average. No refillable drink options. (Asked for ice water and lemon, was given a Walmart bottle of water for $2) I asked for the water after I enquired about the mwntioned margs. I was told some strange off brand of tequila that was premixed for a watermelon margarita. Hard pass...premix at a place that calls it self a tequila bar? Chips and salsa were a letdown, chips partly stale, and salsa needed to be thrown out. It was "fizzy" and fermenting. (Gross!) Our burritos were good, no complaints. Beans & rice good too. One lady working everything, no help. I can see why you ordered at the counter. No biggie. Not a deal breaker. Would I go back? Yes, maybe. Would I recommend it? Probably not. It's good, but not recommend worthy.

I decided to try Catrina, to celebrate día de Los muertos. As soon as I went inside the restaurant I noticed a beautiful altar with cempasúchil flowers. The food is really good, authentic Mexican food, I ordered the quesabirrias and they were good, my boyfriend ordered the enchiladas trio and it was REALLY good, everything tasted so fresh! If you decide to try this restaurant you need to try their house hot sauce “Cabrona”, absolutely delicious!! We ordered the tequila with cempasúchil flowers and the guava tequila…the guava tequila it’s a must have. For dessert we ordered the pumpkin tamal, we loved it! And I know you will love it too.

I’ve never had authentic Mexican in Tampa before and when I went to Mexico let’s face it I ate at tourist places (shame on me). But the food I had here is hard to describe. It was fresh, hot, juicy, flavorful and the meat was spiced perfectly. But, I can’t compare it to anything I’ve had before. I had something called the Quesabirria, which has ribeye, brisket, and rib meat. The texture was shredded (which did remind me of the meat I had in Mexico), but this was in a different world compared to what I ate there. Again, I can’t compare it to anything I’ve had before. I just know I liked it. My sister says that I’m California this is a common type of taco that many people make. I don’t know about that I just know this was fantastic. I can’t wait to go back and try their tacos! I did ask about flour tortillas and the owner said that she only uses flour tortillas for burritos, quesadillas and fajitas ( I think) everything else is corn. I never eat corn tortillas but these were so good. They doubled it up (I guess with cheese in between?), then put the meat and more cheese in the taco itself with onions. It was great! You have to try this place.

Overall pretty good experience. The tacos were a bit pricey but the pastor tacos were especially delicious. The restaurant itself is filled with artwork and the service was very fast. The staff was friendly. The margaritas are $15 but they come in a decent serving size. Worth a try if you are in the area.

You are greeted by the owner chef from the kitchen as you enter. You are not a stranger but a new friend. She is always cooking up something new and exciting. Full of flavor and cooked to perfection. Nothing out of a can or box in this place, only the freshest of ingredients. The bowl of guacamole is a must and try it topped off with grilled shrimp in a secret sauce. Street parking available or the parking area behind the building. Easy access, no Stairs in a historic old bank building of west Tampa rich in history. Enjoy!

The quesabirria taco is everything that everyone raves about. Delicious! This restaurant is stunning. The art work is amazing. You don’t know where to look. The owner is a renaissance woman. She cooks, she’s an artist. Absolutely amazing. This is definitely a gem spot in Tampa.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in the region. Taco Tuesday promotion is outstanding. Tisbeth is an amazing person, talented artist and chef. Her special creations have been off the charts good. Her tequila dinners…just wow. T-1 tequilas are my new favorites for Blanco, Reposado, Ańejo en especially the Tears of Llorona extra ańejo.

Best tacos we’ve ever had. Had them in LA, NYC, DC (where we’re from), and Phoenix (where my mom and sister live)—nothing compares. Totally freaking delicious. My Dad lives in St. Pete Beach, so whenever we fly into Tampa to see him in the future, this is a must-stop for us. Not even kidding. WOW. And the street corn. Omg. The Barbacoa, the shrimp, the Piccadillo, the chorizo—you can’t lose. Tostadas were also amazing! Such a cute vibe too. And nice lady!!! So friendly. Smells so good in there. Can’t wait to return.

Stopped by for dinner and margaritas and fell in love with this place. Sit at the bar and enjoy high quality customer service with a view of all the action on the grill. The decor is so on brand here. Not only will you feel welcome by the staff but you’ll want to stay a little longer to enjoy the ambiance of the space. You’ll find a unique tequila selection, the best margarita in town (not too sweet with just the right amount of tequila) and delicious authentic food here. We tried the elote, quesabirra tacos, and the rajas sopes. Everything was excellent. Can’t wait to visit again to try the guacamole!

Seriously this place is amazing. The margaritas are unbelievable and I don't say that about anyone's but my own. The tacos... best tacos in Tampa hands down and we try A LOT of tacos. They are simple but the flavor their green sauce and meat brings is just on point.

Parking is a bit of a situation in this area but that’s not the restaurants fault. Went for an event last year drag Loteria and if was an outstanding event. Also tried the Birria tacos and they were juicy and tasty.

My first dinner outing since the pandemic. Had an amazing time. Try the margaritas! I went for taco Tuesday and was not disappointed. I had one steak taco and one chicken taco. The green sauce is the way to go. Tart and has a real kick! The tacos were on the smaller side, but made up for it with amazing flavors and still filled me up. The chips and salsa was savory and did a salsa dance across my tongue. The service was polite and friendly. Everything was at expectations; I cant wait to try the rest of the menu. You can't light up inside, but you can smoke outside, which is nice.
