Great food! I'm happy they made whatever change they made because the food is amazing now. Chill vibe also!
The chips,salsa and queso were good. The steak and chicken tacos(tortilla) were underwhelming. They put a lot of tomato+onions on them and the protein kinda got lost inside. I'll give the place another shot because it's close to home.
After four months from my previous repeatedly horrible experience at this location, I decided to give it another try & I am glad I did, the entire previous lunch staff was replaced with a new crew that turned this place from horrible to the best around. The service & food is excellent. The portions

The only issue I had was with service at this location.
I ordered for curbside but eventually went in after 5 minutes or so and found no one up front.

Tijuana Flats is a casual California Mexican Restaurant with a laid back hippie zombie vibe in Westchase Tampa. There is no table service here.

Tijuana Flats is always perfect for good Tex-Mex. I’ve never had a bad meal there. They offerer bowls, burritos, quesadillas, and so many other options and they make it right in front of you and you get to pick what you want on it. Give Tijuana Flats a try. You won’t be sorry.
Service was good and the actual food tasted excellent. I love the wide variety of hot sauces available for us to try. Unfortunately the burrito I had was made with a tortilla with the composition of play doh with the way it fell apart so easily.

I love the outdoor seating at this location. Food is always ready fast and fresh. Pickup is easy as well.
My husband and I love coming here. Especially when Serena is working the front. Always polite, smiling, happy to help you. She's what customer service is all about!!!! She'll definitely be missed if she leaves.
Who can say no to a hot sauce bar? And get the black bean tacos...so delicious and actually better seasoned than the meat.
