Finding good Cuban food this far north is a good thing. This is no tourist destination and it won't be easy to find as it's not on a major road, but the Northdale community is lucky to have them. The food is authentic, the service is friendly, and the vibe is chill.

Cuban sandwich is really good. Be sure you order your Cuban sandwich, "Traditional".
If you don't know what this means, then you probably haven't eaten a "real" Cuban sandwich.
AMAZING food!! So fresh and flavorful! Staff were so sweet to explain each dish. Pricing was good. I had the pork, yellow rice/plantains, hubby had Cuban Sandwich w/fries, and son had the chicken quarters /yellow rice. All was on point and yummy! Huge portions!

The food was pretty good - I had the breaded steak sandwich, and the staff was kind and welcoming. The food did take a decent amount of time to prepare, but that's my only qualm.

I have tried Cubans all over Florida and Pepo's has my favorite, the pulled pork is perfectly tender and seasoned. The bread is always perfectly buttery and pressed. The chicken and rice pudding at this location are also so good. If you are just going for rice pudding though call ahead and ask, sometimes flan is the dessert on the menu which is also homemade and delicious but you won't always find the rice pudding since things are made in house. Good lunch special pricing if you are watching the old Google wallet as well. 10/10 would recommend.

All the food I have ever had here is phenomenal!! (But I’ve never thought to order egg and bacon sandwiches 🧐I know their Cuban bread would be worth the price of admission!)
I have been coming here for over 30 years since I was 10, and nothing has changed! My father and I would go here at least once a week when we lived in Carrollwood Meadows. Now that we live outside of Tampa, over one hour drive, this place is still worth the drive once in a while. I always suggest Pepo's if we come to Tampa for lunch or have friends in the mood for Hispanic food.

I stopped in for early meal for my day. It was about 11:00 or a little after. There was a few people in the restaurant but they look like they were eating breakfast. I waited a while and then a customer asked a waitress to come help me.
Food was served cafe style for lunch. They had a wide selection of different types of meats and vegetables and some other things. I ordered the fresh cooked pork with a chicken thigh leg string beans and yellow rice. The pork was very juicy nicely seasoned and tasted great. Same thing for the chicken thigh leg. It was very good tasty super moist and juicy. I'm not sure about the string beans that I had on the side. I'm not sure if they were canned string beans or if they actually cook them from scratch. All in all the food is very good.
