Sukhothai Restaurant

A hidden noodle shop behind one of the busiest shopping centers on BBD and cross street from AMC. Heard this store is nearby but never know where the store is. We ordered Noodles in signature chili oil and Boiled Fish with Napa Cabbage in Hot Chili Sauce. The Noodles is spicy but it is acceptable and it is a new kind of dish I never had in other noodles shops in Bay Area. The fish dish is ok and would recommend to people who can eat spicy. We also tried the Homemade Roselle Juice and you can only order this when you dine in. It is very refresh.

We found this hidden gem the other day — it really is super hidden! It took us three turns to figure out exactly where it is so finding it can be a slight hassle. We ordered the Pork RouJiaMo (RouGaMo) as appetizer. The meat is flavorful and juicy but is missing an umami kick. It is good for what Tampa has to offer but by no means that this is the best we have ever tasted. For main courses, we ordered their signature beef noodle soup and their Minced Beef Noodles with Ma La sauce. The beef noodle soup was really good by itself. The beef chunks are soft and tender. The beef noodle soup is a little bland in comparison to the minced beef noodles with Ma La sauce. The minced beef are a different flavor when comparing it to their signature beef noodle soup. There are definitely more elements of Ma (numbing) but not enough La (spicy). We also got the shrimp fried rice and that was pretty good as well. The owners are super nice and friendly — we chatted for a bit and found that they opened 8 months ago during the height of the pandemic. Overall I’m really glad this place opened up because it adds to the diversity in Tampa’s Asian cuisines. Definitely make sure to check it out if you have the chance!

Tucked away, almost hidden. We've lived here for five years and wish we would have known about this place sooner! Delicious noodles and fantastic dumplings. The chicken in the soup was seriously the most tender and delicious chicken I've ever had. Have to come back to try other dishes, but great service and quiet atmosphere. Can't belive this place isn't packed regularly.

I used to have to fly to Toronto for noodles like this. I can't believe I can literally drive to this place now and I can't believe how good their food is!! This place makes HANDPULLed noodles with such tasty broth that isn't overly greasy ! The vegetables they used were fresh and tasty. The restaurant was spotless too!I can't believe we have such an amazing spot hidden in New tampa. If u are a foodie, try their noodles now ! Show your support to keep this business afloat!
