Terrible service - took over an hour to receive order - waiter was un-attentive - food was ok but not worth the price when you factor in the wait!
This quaint little restaurant on Davis Island is honestly a hidden gem! I went with a girlfriend and only had an hour for lunch. They greeted us as soon as we walked in the door and we had very prompt and delightful table service. I had the smothered steak cooked to my perfection! It was 4oz smothered in cheese and mushrooms and onions! The broccoli as a side was perfectly cooked so it was still crunchy and not soggy. It made the perfect no carb lunch for me! SO I guess you could say my experience there was perfect!
We had a wonderful experience! Atmosphere and service were great! Most importantly the food was excellent! Highly recommend!
I love ❤️ this place!! I love the French onion soup-the best , steak sandwich is superb! The margarita pork chops they used to have were great but there's plenty of other choices to enjoy!! Looking forward to returning soon!!
Never had a bad experience .. Food that I would normally be skeptical try , turned out amazing ! Good drinks and service , best place on DI in my opinion .. Various options for all
I love this place! Always a fantastic choice!! I recommend everything, never had a bad meal here!

Our favorite restaurant and now a special place that will forever be in our hearts.
Always great food and great service. Love that there are so many choices on the menu.
Nice little spot for lunch. They have a pretty diverse menu, something for everyone. The food was fresh and tasty. Service was also great
220 East is a culinary haven that effortlessly marries innovation and tradition, crafting an unforgettable dining experience that lingers on the taste buds. As you step inside, the elegant yet welcoming ambiance sets the stage for a journey through diverse flavors. The menu is a tribute to locally-sourced ingredients, celebrating them with creative dishes that defy expectations. The "Roasted Beet Salad" is a work of art, uniting sweet and earthy flavors, while the "Braised Short Ribs" are a tender, savory delight. The wine selection is a thoughtfully curated complement to the cuisine. 220 East is more than a restaurant; it's a culinary adventure where food becomes a testament to craftsmanship, and each visit is a voyage through the finest traditions of American cuisine, making it a must-visit for anyone in search of an extraordinary and uniquely flavorful dining experience.
Went on a recommendation from a friend. We were greeted by the hostess at the door with their specials listed at the front desk. The waitress Nikki (?) and Renee were attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and great outgoing personalities!
I ordered the Drunken Shrimp, a bowl of the French Onion Soup, Field of Fruit with Blackened Salmon, and my friend ordered the Lunch Asian Chicken Salad.
The Drunken Shrimp's sauce was creamy and the right texture. We both wished it had more Sriracha in the flavor side of it because it lacked that warm spicy kick.
The French Onion Soup was excellent and I could have had another bowl easily!
The Field of Fruit With Blackened Salmon was mixed with great components that blended well together! Again, the only challenge was the salmon lacked that spiciness of the Blackened flavor. Otherwise it was cooked to perfection!
My friend loved his Lunch Asian Chicken Salad. It is his "go to" when he eats at 220.
A great dining experience and excellent staff!
Definitely worth a try if you are near Davis Island!
Even though it's under new ownership, it's absolutely the same old place and we still have Nui cooking the amazing dishes he developed in the kitchen. Don't be afraid to ask for off menu items. Some of our favorites from the last 25 years are no longer on the menu but they are certainly there if you ask! Maybe our favorite place in Tampa Bay

Excellent dinner option. I ordered the Chicken Thai Cobb salad. It was fantastic and was satisfied with just that. Others in my party ordered a burger and blacked salmon. Both of those were delicious as well, as I sampled. Staff is friendly, dress is nice casual, prices are fair.
Me and my mom went here last night the service and food was incredible we had a very nice server named Sidney she was so kind 10/10 totally recommend.
We ate 220 East. It was delicious and quaint. I had Field of Fruit with Blackened Salmon. The Salmon was cooked perfectly, juicy and tender. The salad flavor blends were scrumptious. House dressing topped it off. Kev. had Burbon Steak. It was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend
We decided to drive to Davis Islands (Tampa, FL ) last night. I used to live there during my high school and college years. Saw my old house which looks beautiful. My dad , who's company built it would be thrilled. 220 East was a pleasant surprise. Everyone there was very nice from the moment we walked in. Our server, Stef was adorable and very helpful. The food was excellent. And they had Chivas! My first in months. Hubby had French Onion Soup. Delicious. Also cheeseburger. Excellent! I ordered an eggplant w/angel hair dish. It was also delish!! Their marinara is wonderful. Having the rest tonight for dinner!🥰 If you're around or even visiting please consider 220 East for lunch, dinner etc. You will be happy you did. Bon appetit!💕💯💯👍
Have eaten off and on here through the years, the food is always consistent with taste and presentation. Grouper is priced fair, and it's very tasty blackened. Drink quality is wonderful. There's a reason this establishment has been around so long.
Just finished another great meal at 220 East on Davis Islands. I tried the blackened salmon for the 1st time and it was as good as all the other fish that you can have at this restaurant. It is a very relaxed atmosphere and a kind of island feel to the restaurant and bar.
Well, its hard to enjoy a meal with the help wiping tables with pinesol, that and I think it could use a clean up on the scarred up tables. On food, the strawberry shortcake need more strawberry juice to get the biscuits down, too dry.
Nice little place with great food. Try the drunken shrimp!
Great locally owned neighborhood place to eat.
