The location really sells this place - right on the water, beautiful views, outdoor seating. An OG Tampa restaurant. Really used to be a favorite spot when I first moved to Tampa.
However, the last few times I’ve been here the quality seems to be struggling. The food was hit or miss, the service was friendly but seemed disorganized and green, and the atmosphere was standard.
The sea bass itself was good, but the vegetables were bad, lacking flavor. The calamari was fine but the portion was small. The lobster Mac needed to be introduced to salt. Everything was fine, but not what you’d expect from an establishment like Jackson’s.
The service was nice but not what you’d expect at somewhere like Jackson’s. Once we were done with our food it took 50 minutes for them to get our boxes and the check.

I was a vendor for a wedding in the beautiful room overlooking the water. The space is gorgeous and the staff, specifically Nick was lovely to work with. He hustled and had his eye on the client and keeping them happy the entire night. Such a sweet location for an event.
I personally felt that 90 guests was too many for the space to be comfortable, if you are planning if a bigger wedding this may not be the right venue for you.
The other thing to consider. As a vendor, it is tricky to load jn and out of this room, there is one elevator for guests, the kitchen and vendors. You must leave plenty of time and plan ahead. The view is amazing and everyone had a wonderful time.

I love the ambience of this restaurant. We had a very nice dinner on the water looking at the sunset. We had a quick walk from our hotel, seated quickly and experienced good service. The food was flavorful and fresh and our server checked on us regularly. I would recommend this restaurant for location, good food, ambience and service. Try to go during the sunset and sit outside, you can't beat the views.

The service was exceptional and the food was delicious and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was gorgeous, however the entire experience was diminished from my perspective because of the strong bleach smell from their cleaning products. We were sat inside and I am certain the smell was not as noticeable outside. If I returned, I would be sure to request an outside table. I think the smell unsettled me enough that I struggled to enjoy the food and wanted to leave as soon as possible.

Visiting Tampa in early December and chose this patio for a pleasant evening dining while overlooking the harbor. Ordered French onion soup, sweet chili calamari, pan seared grouper and crab, and a slice of cheesecake for dessert. All the dishes were mouthwateringly delicious! The French onion soup had just the right mixture of cheese and onion soup, and sweet chili calamari is especially yummy and fresh, and the grouper with bits of crab meat on top was the right amount of seafood I needed.

It gets very busy and I think they were short staffed (friday 1 pm), drinks however were Amazing! We just went for some drinks but definitely will come back for some sushi. We tried Peaches on a plane, Sparkling Poloma, my favorite: Livin Lavonda Loca 💜

Birthday dinner for my daughter who attend s USF. We chose Jackson's because we wanted to sit outside by the water. It's a gorgeous location especially as the sun is going down. My daughter chose a couple of sushi rolls & I went with the grouper with roasted carrots and lump crab meat. We also split a side of huge asparagus. Everything was delicious & I have leftovers for tomorrow. My daughter also got a slice of carrot cake, also delicious. Our waitress Jacquelyn was amazing. Very attentive and nice. She also brought my daughter a small birthday cupcake ( great chocolate on top with a huge blackberry and chocolate spelling out Happy Birthday on the plate) lit the candle & sang Happy Birthday. It was a great evening and we plan to go back again.

My first visit to Jackson's was a great one. The atmosphere was very nice. The food was delicious as well. My server's name I cannot remember but I feel really bad about it because he was very sweet to us. He did a wonderful job. The view was very nice as well. It's a great spot for a girl's night, a guy gathering or a date night. A little pricy but worth it. I will definitely be back. My friend and I both had the blackened fish with lump crab and tri colored carrots. The sauce was sooooo good, they just need to add a little more lol I also didn't know that they validated for parking so i ended up having to pay $15. I know next time. Thank you Jackson's for a great first visit!!

Went here on a trip. They had no customers inside, and no one came to greet us. The workers ignored us, and we left after 15 minutes.
We ended up trying a different day, and the energy was much better. We had Dawn, and she is so sweet. The food was lovely too. The truffle fries are definitely some of the best I've had.
Great experience the second time around, but I can't say with certainty that they have consistent good service here.

After a year of plotting and planning it was finally time to celebrate a milestone birthday for a family member with a surprise party at Jackson's Bistro.
The waterfront setting in downtown Tampa was a perfect choice for my brother who has had a life long love affair with boats.
Jonna and the staff at Jackson's took amazing care of us and were very attentive whenever we needed help while we were setting up the decorations as well as during the party. We never felt rushed or in the way as we debated placement of decor and somehow we all managed a perfect ballet of getting everything ready! Most importantly the birthday boy and all the guests were very happy!
There were 63 people at the party and the Waterfront Room on the second floor was very roomy and also has a nice outdoor area as well.
I'm sorry I don't have any photos of the delicious food to share. (once the surprise was out of the bag it was time to relax!)
The passed appetizers (spring rolls, crab cakes and caprese skewers) and plated lunch (chicken marsala, seared salmon or pasta with vegetables) were all a big hit. These were the choices our family went with. Jonna offered lots of options and was very responsive to all our questions and was happy to make suggestions.
I would definitely recommend The Waterfront Room for your special occasion.

Surprised at how good the sushi is. The pink lady and crazy salmon were both amazing. It was a perfect day for the patio. And the staff were quick and helpful.

Sushi was sooooo good here!! The patio is under construction, but there's still a nice view from the window. My husband hand the steak and cousin has fish. Everything was delicious! Service was great too!

1st time here as we celebrated Valentine’s Day!
Our server Morgan was excellent, very informative with a great personality.
We started with a California roll which was really good. We over ordered but we’ve never been so we wanted to try a little of everything!
I ordered the blackened grouper sandwich. It was not spicy at all, very tasty and loved the flavors of the fish! I got the side salad with balsamic and I loved the goat cheese!
My husband ordered the roasted chicken, it was cooked perfectly. He also wanted to try the lobster roll so we ordered that also 🤦🏻♀️
I was beyond full but he said we needed cake for dessert because it was Valentine’s Day so we ordered the chocolate cake with the homemade whipped cream.
Upon receiving the bill, we both agreed it was reasonably priced and thought it would have been so much more than it was.
The view was beautiful; all the lights overlooking the water, the nice boats and people walking around. Definitely a must see during the day.

Go to for date night! Meals always amazing, staff is super friendly and knowledgeable of menu, and atmosphere goes from chill dinner to night life club with a water view. Cabana options were amazing, club music is always jamming, worth the trip EVERYTIME!!

Our server was wonderful and the front too after they figured out the issue with table but definitely very pleasant. The view was breathtaking sitting outside. The food was okay, my black jasmine rice was less than warm, the veggies supposed to be grilled but some were almost burnt. I told the server and he offered to take it back but I said no, just please let the Chef know. My daughter’s sushi was okay but again not the best presentation. Our server had to go looking for the sushi pieces and probably had them prepared again after the server that brought our food out left so quickly with the sushi pieces possibly to another table. Great location, decor and the staff we dealt with was fantastic too. We were really looking forward to eating in your restaurant being from out of town and that’s why we left it for the last night.

I just want to let you know my friend and I went to brunch today and it was very disappointing. I also let my server know and it appears that nobody cared about the cold food and over cooked shrimp. We sat outside and the waitress seemed to less than interested. Did not notice and of the guys changing the food out really caring or anybody checking the temp. of the food. I stood there while the Eggs Benedict were put out and when I went to the table they were cold. Somebody should care and talk to the customers and not serve cold food. Nice view .

We went the night of the JT concert and everything was a amazing! It was our anniversary my wife asked for a glass of Chardonnay and the waiter was very knowledgeable in the wine selection. He asked what types that my wife liked and he suggested 3 different ones. My wife had the snapper and scallops which was probably one of the best scallop dishes I have ever had . I had the grouper the only thing I would have changed was the “potato cake” it was served over it got lost in the flavors of the dish.

First and foremost, the location for watching the sunset, is perfect. Secondly, Imani, our server, went above and beyond all expectations to make sure my husband and I had an amazing experience. She definitely left a lasting impression in all the best ways. And lastly, if you do not order the crab cakes (Imani’s suggestion), you’re doing it all wrong. They were outstanding. Cannot wait to come back!

We went the night before we took our 8 day cruise. Our Bellhop from the Marriott actually recommended we eat dinner there. We enjoyed the service, food, and views! Our 3 teenage kids who typically have their faces in their iPhones also enjoyed dinner and the views.

Wide selection of foods from sushi to �. Good service. Good wine at reasonable prices. Nice setting with choice of outside on the water or inside with a water view. Entrance not yet complete and the approach is confusing due to ongoing construction. This is a chronic problem for Harbour Island and needs resolution for business to be successful. We will go back when the temperature is cooler for outside seating.
