The food was eclectic and amazing. The service was stellar as well. Too bad they ran out of chicken on a Friday at Lunch, but the killer ham sandwich (you won’t find tgstvon the menu - look for the frebch equivalent) was a great substitute. Crab cakes, steak fritte and the trout. All were exceptional! We will be back.
Amazing food, staff and ambiance! Always fresh and thoughtfully crafted meals and cocktails. Chef Ryan made me an incredible vegan dish and Caitlin was the best server ever.
My husband and I went to Sage for our anniversary dinner, and everything was delicious! The new seasonal menu had just come out, and everything was delicious. The Escargot was so decadent, the Bone Marrow topped with Ropa Vieja was out of this world, the Carbonara was cooked to perfection, and the cocktails were unique and delicious. Our server Mairin was amazing and extremely knowledgeable, and the bartender was on point. Highly recommend this restaurant.. It's a Tallahassee gem!
Great service and food. A great spot of date night or that significant event. My wife had the duck which was succulent, while I had the salmon which was divine. The wine list was extensive and our waiter, Luis was skilled with pairing recommendations. We'll be back.
Our server, Victor, was simply amazing. We let him pick our drinks and they were perfect. The food was incredible, the drinks were on point, my filet was delicious and exactly mid rare - as ordered - and the escargot was sooooooo good! It was unlike any I've had before but it's my new favorite! We will be back, what an enjoyable dining experience!!!
An amazing 4.9 Bon Vivant Society Rating... I very rarely come across a restaurant this good!
I always love ending my day alone in a restaurant... Enjoying a meal that far exceeded my expectations... #Sage in #Tallahassee, #Florida is a hidden gem that rivals any restaurant I have ever eaten at in the entire world. My server, Caitlin, did a superb job which just enhanced the meal and overall dining experience.
My husband and I enjoy eating at Sage for brunch, lunch and dinner.
The food is always fresh and delicious.
Of course, the warm, highly respectful wait staff always makes for a pleasant environment.
We enjoy the beautiful art that changes during the year.
We also get to visit with many of our friends who also dine at Sage.
It is one of our longtime favorite restaurants with indoor and outdoor seating.
This was the best dining experience I have had in Tallahassee. Great service, great food and amazing cocktails.
My go to special occasion spot. I fell in love with Sage the moment we we're greated by staff and kept going all the way to the last bite of dessert. Full 4-5 course meal with wine pairing is the way to go. Caitlyn and Jenn know what they are doing and most definitely will not dissapoint! With an amazing, ever changing with the seasons, menu from Ryan and the kitchen there is sure to be something for everyone!

The meal was excellent. My husband said the relish for the crab cakes was the best he'd ever eaten.

Nice surroundings, wonderful dinner and our server was really nice (Brant). Thank-you!
Tony did a great job! We had started with the Kettle Chips then had the Croque Monsieur and Beet and Orange Salad with chicken. The chicken had great flavor but was dry. We had a great experience and will stop by again when passing through town.
Food was delicious and service was a little slow but attentive.
For a party of 10 + and my grandmother's 95th birthday it would have been a nice gesture if the Owner /and or Chef would have greeted us.
Sage is my latest local restaurant obsession. I love sitting at the bar and I love appetizers and Sage has both on point. The bar area is small but I don’t mind that. I am working my way through the menu and haven’t had anything bad yet. It is a little pricey but worth the price. Drinks are also excellent. Highly recommend.

The escargot and onion soup were good but nothing amazing. Felt like there was too much oil/butter in the rainbow trout dish. The fish itself was nice together with the nuts. The quiche was tasty and had a decent portion. The steak was too chewy but compensated with nice flavors.
We found a hair in the rainbow trout and our server immediately apologized and discounted us. Very nice service and lovely patio space as well.
My husband & I ate here for lunch yesterday. They were totally booked, but accommodated us w/patio seating (which is where we wanted go sit). The patio area itself could use some love. The umbrellas for gray goose don’t exactly create that French ambiance & it would be great if they played French music.
The food, however, didn’t disappoint. The French onion soup was loaded with flavor- we kept digging in for more. The steak frites avec pommes frites was great. I’m pretty picky w/my steaks & I was pretty happy with what I was served. My only critique is that I found the steak & the pommes frites to be too salty for my taste. Next time I’ll just ask for no salt. My husband ordered the shrimp burger & he loved it! He said it was lite enough that he ate the whole thing & didn’t feel it was too much, but he felt satisfied. The shrimp burger was packed with so much flavor- like unexpected citrus- clean & not greasy.
Definitely would return & happy we found this place!
Best food👌 my compliments to the chef and the waiter tony. I travel a lot for work and it’s so difficult to find great food. This place was amazing. You have to try it 👌♥️ I will try to go back before I leave.
Great atmosphere and professional waiters who don't make you feel rushed but are also accessible to answer questions or take your requests. The unique cocktails added to the fun. I recommend the El Chupacabra for a spicy take on a margarita. We started with Fried Green Tomatoes with goat cheese. Great starter with tons of flavor. Then moved on to the Oak Grilled Filet Mignon and Herb Seared Snapper. Both were perfectly prepared and delicious. For dessert I highly recommend the Warm Pear Crisp and the S'mores Creme Brulee. Both were just sweet enough to satisfy without being a heavy sugar rush.
WOW!! Our first visit to Sage was amazing. We made a day trip to Tallahassee and stopped in for dinner and so glad we did. We sat at the bar (we prefer the bar) and had a great experience. We had the deviled eggs - OMG - , the Caesar salad and the scallops / shrimp. These all were amazing. The drinks were great, they have a infused Gin that you should def try. Matt at the bar was super helpful and timed the food perfectly. All of the service was excellent. Definitely a place to visit while in town. GREAT JOB!!!
Sage has been consistently excellent every time I’ve gone. Service is always high quality, the food is very, very good. Maybe my only criticism of the restaurant is that the decor inside is a little uninspired and boring, but that doesn’t really bother me when it comes to restaurants. Just doesn’t quite match the excellence of the rest of the institution. Looking forward to more meals here in the future!
Sage is my go to Brunch spot in Tallahassee. I am there almost every Sunday that’s just how good this place is... I have been going for the past two years and it has only gotten better and better. The food is fantastic and the service is out of this world! Mackenzie, Alex, and Lizzie are all extremely kind and excellent servers! Sage always has something for everyone on their menu and it changes every few months. They have daily soup, quiche, and featured entree. Their desserts are also always a great way to finish off the meal!
We had good dinner with friends. Nice place, super busy, so I recommend to make a reservation . Put 4 of 5 cause of long waiting between courses.
One of the best restaurants in Tally. The food is very tasty, fresh, and the waiters and waitresses were really nice. 5 stars for the food, service, and atmosphere. I highly recommend making a reservation because the place always, but it is worth it. I went with some friends the first time and then with some co-workers. In both cases, we enjoyed delicious fresh food and kind service.
Make sure you have a reservation, we were lucky enough to get in early and there was seating available in the "bistro seating" aka bar area. Woody (the bar tender) was great. It started to get busy after we sat down so things took a bit. But patience is a virtue, especially waiting for food like this! Everything, including the drinks, was amazing!!!
