Great selection of pastries and bread to choose from. We had the double-dipped pain au chocolat, almond croissant, blueberry danish and baguette which were all 10/10 but we were pleasantly surprised with their long blacks - chocolatey and divine! Lovely welcoming staff and we will definitely be coming back more for their goodies!

They make the best ham and cheese flaky pastry I have ever had. And I've been around.
Then there is their pain au chocolat. Whoa. Authentic masterclass of French baked goods.
The coffee is wicked good no less.
This is a brilliant find (albeit with confusing signage out front on Lake Road that says "Good Time Jo" on front window) that is tucked away in Hauraki Corner, with fun yellow picnic tables and benches out back.

This is what a Pain au Chocolat should be!!! This is the best, most authentic place I’ve found for amazing French pastries and breads.

One does not read about this place in those "marketing" magazines and websites - so maybe not instagram-magnet. And yet, they do produce one of the best quality baked goods in Auckland. I am not a big fan of pastries, but even I could tell theirs are of impressive quality. Coffee is always great. Service friendly, too. A gem in Hauraki corner, really.

Hands down the BEST pain au chocolat I’ve had. Better than the one I had in Paris… Jesus chris. (This one’s double chocolate or something…) all other pastries were the delicious too
