Review Restaurant Of The Cherokees - Tahlequah

Fried chicken, pot roast super good ! Nice quiet place, clean and value for the money. Fresh salads and soup as well. We went in for lunch on a Thursday and it was buffet style. All the food was good and the staff was nice too.

Restaurant of the Cherokees is an excellent place to have lunch with friends. Right across from the Cherokee Nation Gift Shop the restaurant has great food cooked to your specifications or enjoy all the choices on the large buffet. Very good place to have breakfast bacon and eggs like mom used to make. Very friendly service make you feel right at home.

The food is awesome, the people are awesome, hospitality is awesome! I love the fact that Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma incorporates traditional Cherokee food , with modern Cherokee food. There’s always that one Karen who wants to post negative comments about home kitchen style diners because they have no idea what cultured southern dining is about. I can guarantee that this kitchen aims to please and that you will leave satisfied and full. The food is so tasty you will think ab it days later. Wado 😍

Went with family on Thanksgiving day for lunch. The good was excellent, especially considering it was buffet style. Our server was excellent and helpful. Only drawback was the confusion at the front door and the buffet line started there also. But it was Thanksgiving and a large crowd was waiting, so I don't consider that the restaurant's fault. Will definitely return.

Food is subpar American dishes, which isn't the worst part. Our waitress took the order wrong, didn't maintain our table, when we told her there was half a raw onion on our plate and couldn't eat it she was rude, management was worse. She actually told us that our problem was we couldn't pay for our food. What a joke. Sadly that place is an embarrassment to the Cherokee in our opinion.

Such a great meal and at a great price! The service was friendly and attentive. I loved the flatbread with honey, just like I get at Paul’s in Cherokee, North Carolina! Eat here, you will love it, but it closes early in the day so keep that in mind when you make your plans.

Slow staff. Decent food. Nothing to write home about. We visit one time a year for breakfast. We enjoy eating here but the service a bit slow. It wasn't horribly busy but the young lady was working really hard to keep up.

Their Sunday buffet is my favorite. They have traditional comfort foods with a large salad bar and a comfortable atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and attentive. Worth the price you pay.
