Review En Rama - Tacoma

R Cross
We had dinner here at the bar. Best to make reservations, but if you arrive early you might be able to get a spot at the bar like we did and it's fun to watch the drinks being made. Great wait staff and the menu is awesome. Highly recommend getting lots of small plates to share rather than individual courses/appetizers. The bar is excellent as well with a really nice selection of cocktails and professional bartender able to make requests. The menu is Spanish/Italian for the most part and those who enjoy seafood will benefit most by eating here, but there's something for everyone. We plan to go back as often as possible. Don't sleep on the tinned items. Shout out to Manny our bartender.

Amazing date night spot. The mussels were the best we’ve EVER had. The polenta was incredible. Very well trained service staff was welcoming and had great recommendations. Wish we lived in Tacoma!

This place is pretty incredible (minus one issue): the outdoor seating is a brilliant interplay of protected and open air and the food (plenty of vegan options) is to die for. The pickled cucumber and the house-made focaccia was terrific. The service is attentive and fun. The only big issue (for us, anyway) was that we didn't finish our meal and asked what type of container they use for "to go": we were told it was compostable paper. We minimize plastic like crazy, so got the container. Not only was it not paper but it wasn't compostable. It was just plastic clamshell. Made by "Earth Choice," the company does offer compostable items, but this is not one of them, and recycling's pretty much a myth around here. So, we'd appreciate knowing what we're getting next time because we would have skipped the side of plastic.

Incredible. Worth trying. I’d die for that clam sauce recipe. My only bit was that the chicken and dumplings were a tad too salty or acidic and had a piece of bone in a bite that I wasn’t quite expecting. Not the worst thing to find!

I had dinner here 2/22/22 with 2 friends. En Rama surpassed my expectations and is my new favorite restaurant in Tacoma. It is that good! The cocktails, especially the Manhattan and two dots and a dash were perfect. Our server was very enthusiastic and she had great bar and dinner recommendations. We shared the mussels, burger, mac and cheese, and collard green pesto. Everything was excellent. Thank you En Rama!!

We showed up at 8 as a party of 2 and were able to be seated right away. The building itself is very cool looking, and the restaurant is cozy with good ambiance. The host was friendly, and our server (I think her name was Katie?) was the best server I’ve had in YEARS. She was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. We got the house salad, oysters, the nettle chicken and dumpling special, the collard green pesto, and a bottle of Willamette Pinot. The entire dinner was great. Maybe a little too much salt in the pork for my taste on the pesto dish, but it was still a really amazing dish. We will definitely be back. I’m so glad to have found such a great little spot in Tacoma!

The most fantastic from scratch bar and restaurant. The 50/50 martini and the lavender are my favorite drinks currently. The burger is fantastic and the buns are made in house (so are the burger patties), and the Bolognese is the perfect meal if you want something filling and comforting.

We tried this place out a couple of weeks ago and I can’t say enough great things. First, the cocktails were fantastic. I had the golden path (our waitress described it as a warm, smoky, winter hug) and my girlfriend had the egg nog. Both were delicious. The food is also some of the best in Tacoma. The service was amazing. We will be back!

En Rama is the go to place. I find the cocktails make or break the food at most places. Here, you can try anything and know you have the best bar making it, hats off to you en Rama, Tacoma's go to for great drinks and food. I travel an hour to get here and know the drive is worth the payoff.

The ambience, the food, and the service deserve a five star rating! I loved my drink, salad, and pasta! I shared my meal with a friend and her pasta dish was just as delicious as mine! I will be back with my husband, no doubt about it!

If you want to experience what art in the form of cocktails tastes like, get here. Everything is so intentional and inspired, dining and drinking here feels a like pulling the stuff of dreams out of the ether and distilling it into your glass/onto your plate. I cannot wait to see how this place blooms because straight out the gate the offerings are unlike anything else you'll find in Tacoma.

So...I was met at line at the door with a lovely offer to bring me a beverage while waiting in line. Um, okay! I sipped on the Old Fashioned I first fell in love with at HK, beautifully prepared. When I saw Chris behind the bar, I knew my friends and I were in good hands. Once our party of four was seated, the great service continued. The food and drinks were amazing, the chef was a pure gem, and although our server was a little bossy and directive, she knew her stuff. Her cheerful smile, great suggestions, and expressed gratitude redeemed her. We will definitely be back for more!

Always so impressed. From the rotating menu, varied dessert options, attentive and personable wait staff, and of course the charming ambiance, I've never had a bad experience dining here.

en Rama is a grand replacement for my old favorites Hilltop Kitchen and Marrow and featuring cocktails and vegetarian offerings. The ambiance is somewhat similar, quaint and cozy. The braised garbanzo salad was delish and the cocktails spot on. Our server Brittney was enthusiastic, attentive and fun. We will definitely be returning.
