There was plenty of sitting room and the staff was indeed very friendly. Surprised to get as much food as we did for the price. Highly recommended for Myrtle Beach goers if they wanna take a drive for some great seafood. It’s a hidden gem for travelers. Everything is cooked fresh so prepare to wait a bit depending on what you ordered.

The seafood is always incredible! The plates have a large quantity at a reasonable price. The staff are friendly and helpful. The tables can be full so expect to sit family style with other parties.
The only negative is they do not accept debit cards. It's cash only!
I have travel through Tabor City North Carolina for many years. This is a mom and pop restaurant in the farming community I'm great people and great family values with the hometown atmosphere:) I have eaten there several times over the years one of my favorites to leave off of Highway 17 and go inland 54 miles just to get a very good meal there.
The seafood there especially the fish is fresh with a generous portion, you just don't want to wash your hands when you finish your meal LOL
So enjoyed dining with Mama's friends from church!!! Thank you, ladies, we had a blast and the spots were delicious!!! Mama enjoyed her pork chop special, too!!! The other 3 ladies loved their plentiful plates, also!!! Missed my hubby...he loves the clam strips!!!
Had the cheeseburger and onion rings- food was perfectly cooked, hot n fresh. Excellent service and a nice quiet atmosphere. FYI they don’t accept card payments so bring cash for payment- prices are very reasonable.
Food has been really good each time I've visited. I do drive 30 mins just to go to this restaurant. It is cash only, they do have an Atm.
Never had a refill on our tea, the waitress came by the table 2 times and said she would be right back, but never got a refill! Food was great
Great burgers. Daily lunch specials. Pretty fast service especially if you get the lunch special. Been a couple of times and it's busy. Very popular spot to eat. Great staff great service.
Love dining at Friendly. Spots and catfish are some of the best around. Everything is excellent. Definitely get the rice with fish grease!

Friendly Seafood was recommended by locals in the neighboring town just over the border in South Carolina. This Tabor City restaurant seems to be frequented for it good food & a meeting spot for local & travelers alike. Friendly was easy to find. The restaurant located on a main thoroughfare has parking on the street. Having no stairs made it handicapped accessible.
The restaurant is very casual. It offers take out & dining in. The main dining offers long tables & booths & I noticed additional space in the adjacent room for overflow.
The service was fast & "friendly". The food was cooked to our liking & the portions is offered in small or large. My friend likes her Bream fried hard, I had the fried whiting, baked potato & hush puppies & my other friend chose the catfish. And yes, good ole Texas Pete is on the tables as well as other condiments for the asking.
Our meal prices range $10- $15, but be advised that Friendly TAKES CASH ONLY, as you won't learn this until you go to pay the tab. Conveniently there's an ATM by the cashier counter LOL.
My mother and I love friendlys. We eat here at least once a week!! Food is good and affordable!
