Lucky 7 Grocery & Deli

I have not been out since Thanksgiving with my family so decided to get ahead of the snow to get my "Lucky 7" fix...My x hubby loves the bbq ribs with yellow rice so I gave that a try...and was not disappointed. I have never had any of the soups there but I decided to try the Cream of Mushroom Soup but got the small size not knowing if it would thrill me...BIG MISTAKE...Best soup I have ever had! I have NEVER been disappointed there. I have gotten so comfortable there...I wore my jammies...(don't tell my kids)...I want to add one more thing! I am the usual stuffing maker for Thanksgiving but it has become increasingly more difficult to navigate the kitchen because of health issues. So I decided to order the stuffing from Lucky 7's this time for the group and not tell them! It was ready for pick up on time and packaged very nicely. The only question that was asked was by my oldest daughter who wondered why I did not add sausage this time! I told her it was too much work this year! After all the rave reviews...I confessed who made the stuffing! Just want to give a huge shout out to the staff of Lucky 7's...KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING!

Sarah is awesome! She always gives me the freshest food. Their salads are top notch. VERY busy place with great employees that hustle. Salads are the absolute best. IDC if they don't have time to converse, it's a business. And, will leave Sarah my tool collection when I leave this world, worth the money. She is awesome with great service. TRY their sandwiches, absolutely the BEST! Oh! Their prices are very fair! Super food, awesome service. 5 ⭐ stars! Still can't get enough of their great food and awesome service.

I saw this recommended for the best place to grab a meal high in value. For $9 for a full sized boars head sub you can’t go wrong. The Philly egg rolls could be a light meal for someone not super hungry ($6 for 2) and they were fire. The chicken and biscuits meal was being ordered by half the people waiting in line so I will try that next. It’s a busy neighborhood deli/convenience store, and cash only. ATM on sight but bring cash. Efficient ordering process and line. Well worth repeat visits.

Update 1: pork shoulder with yellow rice and pico also a win! Fried ravioli are MASSIVE and delicious. This place was hopping on a Tuesday night which tells you something! We ordered small plates of the country style chicken w/ sausage gravy, Cajun chicken Alfredo and beef tips w/ egg noodles, ranked here in order of most to least favorite. I say "least favorite" because every single dish was delicious! So much flavor in each one, proteins and pastas perfectly cooked, sauces delectable. 3 small dishes was enough for 3 of us for dinner with a good amount left over. We also got the pizza logs, raspberry cheesecake logs, and buffalo chicken egg rolls. I will get the latter 2 if they are available any time I order from here in the future, they were that good. I do not live in the area but am already looking forward to my next Lucky 7 meal. After my first experience, I want to try everything! Don't sleep on this unassuming spot, the food is fantastic.

Two years later -- the people working the phones are smart and funny -- walk in --- boom - BEST CHEESE STEAK ON THE PLANET This is a one year edit: 2023!!! The steak and cheese is the BEST SANDWICH DEAL IN CNY. I've been on the hunt for the best steak sandwich in central New York and this is without a doubt it. THE BEST STEAK SANDWICH IN CENTRAL NEW YORK. I am reluctantly deducting one-star because they do not take credit cards. I have had steak and cheese sandwiches all over the planet for the last 35 years, because I am 50, and this is the best steak and cheese, for the $$$, that anybody has ever offered me. From 2020-ish: I got a full turkey sub (~$8) and it was good, slightly above average in both size and quality. The ordering process itself is a little chaotic and that's where I think they can improve the most. The deli counter is insanely high and you have to talk to the sandwich artist through this tiny little window between the sub rolls and the Bic lighter end-cap... They need to come up with a better system for customer interaction, but I like the place. I also think it's ridiculous that they don't accept credit cards. It's 2021, for God's sake. The sub was a solid B...

This is our local go-to for good, home style eats. Cash only! We love their fish fry, Swedish Meatballs, Jerk Chicken and Chicken n Biscuits…. and just about every thing else we’ve ordered. Wall to wall beverages & snacks too! The folx are always friendly and fast; portions are generous. It gets busy around dinner time, so call ahead!
