Review Frosted Cakery - Swansboro

Not the best first impression. The espresso cupcake was dry and crumbly like it had been out for a couple days. The girl that served me was disinterested in being outgoing or friendly. The best experience for me was the chocolate salted caramel cupcake. It was delicious! I’d try here again to give another chance, but for first impression it was not great.

My next door neighbor's little girl just brought me on of your cupcakes as a treat for me and I must say, I've never in my 62 years recall tasting a cupcake so incredibly delicious! The chocolate frosting was amazing and the cupcake itself so very moist and tasty. I'm new to the neighborhood and didn't know of your existence, but be sure to know you will see me in your shop very soon!! Thanks, Frosted for such an elegant delight!!

I am from out of town and was going to be on vacation in Emerald Isle during my wife's birthday. I called Frosted Cakery and asked for a custom sheet cake and gave some vague outline for decoration. They took it and ran with it. The cake looked great but more importantly to me was absolutely delicious. Staff was kind, friendly and easy to deal with. We also bought 4 cupcakes when I picked up the cake. All were great. I definitely recommend Frosted Cakery.

My husband and I did the corks and cakes and absolutely loved it! We had so much fun. The owner was so incredibly nice and very helpful. Everyone was very friendly and we all had a great time looking at each other's cakes. By far one of the best date nights we have had. 😊 I highly recommend it for a date night or girls night out!

Our absolute favorite cupcake in town! We get our daughters birthday cake here every year and we always love it. I do think they are a little pricey, especially when it comes to custom cupcakes though.

Definitely a gem. I had an emergency order today for a dear friend's 22nd anniversary today. There happened to be someone in the store, and they were closed, and they offered to put together a cake for me ASAP. Great cake, great customer service - you won't find that in corporate America! Thank you for making the day special for two very special people in the community.

We got a coconut and a red velvet cupcake on our visit to Frosted. They were excellent. They had great customer service and a cute shop. We will go back the next time we are in town.

We have tried lots of cupcake places along the NC coast, and this is one of our two top favorites for sure! I personally lovvvvve Burning Love. But we have tried all kinds of flavors and really enjoy them all.

I have gone here a few times and had cupcakes from this bakery on multiple occasions. They have been delicious every time. One of the amazing bakers even baked me a unicorn birthday cake as an inside joke, and it absolutely made my day. That’s the kind of people that work here. For those of you who were upset about something, if you ever just said something to them about it instead of attacking them or getting mad and being just rude, all they would do is fix it because they want their customers to happy. If you want something made a special way, just ask. They’re a great business and want their customers to get what they want. I’ve had nothing but great experiences here. I’ll definitely keep going back as long as I’m in NC!

A little Ma and Pa Shop located in quiet Swansboro. The owner of Frosted is a great and all of her employees friendly. We love her cupcakes so much we offer them as part of our party packages at Rockin' Game Party!!

Frosted has the BEST gluten free cupcakes (and regular cupcakes too!) Fresh & delicious. Not to mention absolutely gorgeous! I am very picky with frosting and just thinking about the frosting on those GF cupcakes makes my mouth water! AND don’t get me started on the peanut butter gluten free cookies ��� I wish i could have a dozen shipped to me in Okinawa! The employees are alway accommodating and very friendly! Also love that they have coffee and ice cream!! ��

We ordered a 4 tier cake for my daughters wedding, brought pictures of what we wanted, bottom tier lemon lemon whith white fondant, second tier almond vanilla with very light peach fondant, third tier lemon blueberry with white fondant and rope around it made out of light tan fondant (made to loom like real rope), and the top tier tiramisu with white fondant. What we got was orange fondant on the second tier and brown on the top tier. The bottom tier was lemon blueberry and the third tier was lemon lemon. The fondant rope looked like a kid made it with playdough. It also had the wrong knot on it. I paid $550.00 for this cake when qouted $250.00 2 months earlier. Very unhappy with the cake. Now for delivery of the cake, they called 2 days before the wedding wanting to know when we wanted it. We told them the time when ordeted and told them again that the wedding was at 3pm. I want the cake there between 11 and 2. No later than 2pm. Guest would be showing up and I did want to rush. We called the shop at 2:15 with no response. They called at 2:30 saying they were lost and arrived at 3pm. They never spoke to me, my husband or the bride. They left it up to the caterers. When we heard the cake was there, they were gone. We also ordered 2 dozen vegan cupcakes for kids. They were chocolate with white frosting. The frosting was suppose to be the same peach color as the cake. Our order was completely wrong. I will never recommend them to anyone. The cake was dry and the almond layer was over cooked but the flavor of the cake was the only good thing. When you accept payment for a job you should make sure you work on their schedule and deliver what is paid for.

I was having a bad day and having a serious cupcake craving. After trying cupcakes at another place I found Frosted. The cupcakes are amazing here. I love the chocolate cake as I find it lighter then the vanilla but both are great. The vanilla frosting was a little sweet for my taste but still very good! This will definitely be my go to. Staff is super friendly too 😊

I LOVE Frosted!!!! Our entire family has their own fave flavors... you can't go wrong...everything is DELICIOUS!!!! From their sugar cookies to their custom cakes, their work, friendly staff, and customer service are all top notch!!! We've celebrate many memorable events and great times with Frosted cakes!!!!

The service at Frosted is always pleasurable when we visit. The young ladies at the counter always great us with a smile.The cupcakes and cookies are and have always been wonderful. Our favorites are Almond Joy and anything mint!! �We have family that are out of the area that really enjoy and always ask “ what flavors do they have today” while they are visiting. The addition of ice cream is a huge plus for my husband he is very fond of the strawberry cheesecake flavor. His coworkers love the red velvet and Snickers and request them at least once a week.

Every single cupcake I have ever had here is always declared as "my new favorite"... and then I try another one, and the cycle continues. From the cupcakes to the sugar cookies, everything that comes out of Frosted is delicious and it's obvious how much the owner puts into her craft. She is incredibly talented, her staff is very fun and helpful; the friendly little city by the sea is lucky to have Frosted to satisfy our sugar cravings!

AMAZING!!! We requested a specialty cake for our son’s wedding rehearsal dinner. What we received was outstanding. The details were point on. Terrific tasting also!! We had 3 different types... lemon with raspberry, chocolate salted caramel, and funfetti. All were delicious! Each time we consulted the shop they were very helpful, friendly, and happy to help. Thank you for making our son’s and future daughter’s special night even more special. Feel free to post pics.

Frosted made my daughters 12th birthday cake and it was absolutely beautiful! They always do a wonderful job with anything and everything that my family has ever purchased from them. I would recommend Frosted to anyone.

Very disappointing tonight. Drove from Jacksonville to Frosted Cakery, about a 30 minute drive one way, to place a cake order. Talked to a young teenager about a cake and was told she couldn't take a cake order because she wasn't a decorator. Neither of the two girls in the bakery could take a cake order. Who does that?? Who has a staff that works at a bakery but cannot take a cake order?? When asked when someone will be there who could take a cake order, the answer was "tomorrow." I don't think I will be retuning tomorrow. Not worth it.

The best place for cookies and cupcakes! Worth checking out!
