Love this place! Went with a large party of adults and kids...couldn't have been treated better! Gentry, our waiter, was incredible! He was super-accommodating with us having split tables (kids and adults) and even pitched in and entertained the kids when he would come and check on us. The food was perfectly cooked...he made great recommendations for us...I had the flank steak and it was gloriously seasoned and served on a bed of ratatouille and roasted pepper purée. We have been several times and have always had great service and great good, but last night was spectacular! The kids had a terrific time...the mark of a truly successful evening!
This is a hidden gem! The outdoor patio is so welcoming and the food is amazing. The food bowl of the day was Salmon over Succotash. It was to die for! If you haven't eaten here, you're missing out!
Half price appetizers between 5 and 6 p.m. The food is excellent! I had the potato dumplings which comes with a parsnip puree and pickled red cabbage on top and chicken wings and my niece wanted Nachos Supreme but she didn't want the nachos she wanted it on a bed of lettuce and they accommodated her because of her diet. They always have a great selection of beers that rotate through there on tap. Mark at the bar is as nice as they come. Service is very fast there also. I love this place! I can't say enough about the food or the menu.
My husband & I eat there about once a week and actually had an early dinner there today...Caesar salad, wings & Almond cake. I could eat the salad every day...it was that good. I get the dry rub wings, and they're wonderful...seasoning is spicy without being hot, served with both Ranch & their Thai dressings. My husband likes the naked wings. The Almond cake was very different & had a subtle citrus flavor along with spiced nuts. We used to love the Pork Belly nachos, but for some inexplicable reason, they were taken off the menu. The wait staff are all very pleasant; tonight it was Cat & she was very friendly & efficient.
I highly recommend this restaurant.

I had one of the best dinners out in Asheville in a long time. The food was well prepared, the flavors layering one with the other, culminating in quite a delicious experience.The wait staff was attentive but not annoying. I will definitely be going back. This may be a new find for folks from Asheville, but the short drive to Swannanoa is really worth it.
This was our first stop on our return trip to this area. Great environment, at bar, restaurant seating indoors and on lovely patio. Our waitress, Allie, treated us like family. The Native knows local beer and serves many on tap. Loved the Hillman Kolach and One Claw Pale out of South Carolina. Food, as always, delicious. Don't miss dining and relaxing here.

We had a wonderful meal with fantastic friends.. the "Japanese Cheesecake" was quite yummy and interesting.. the food and conversation was perfect.. the red wine was delicious.. the pork nachos with the creamy avocado perched on top was delicious and filling.. yum.. we will be back..

Okay where do I start! First of all, my girlfriend and I had spent the weekend in Asheville and we were coming back home to Tallahassee, about an 8 hour drive ahead of us. We needed to get some food to go so we would have something to eat and not have to stop for dinner . So, she just searched on her phone for nearby places to eat and found this place. When we got in there, we realized that they serve brunch and dinner and we were right in the middle of their transition; so the kitchen would need about half an hour to get ready for any entree orders. We were in a hurry but what were we going to do? and we realized that they served local beers. Emily, who was working the bar and helping us out, gave the idea of ordering an appetizer now and then taking down our dinner orders ahead of time to-go so that they would be ready as soon as the kitchen was ready. To keep things quick and simple for the kitchen my girlfriend I just ordered the same things. We got a smoke trout appetizer and then 2 Falafel burgers to go. We also got 2 Pisgah Oktoberfest beers which were amazing on draft! The appetizer was outstanding, seriously some of the best food I've ever had and then they brought out our entrees almost immediately as the kitchen was ready, because they knew that we were in a hurry and trying to get on the road. I gave them my card to pay but it turned out that their system was having some issues and we waited about 5 or 10 minutes to see if they could sort out the problem; I even tried a different card, they tried different cards of their own. Emily came back and explained that they knew that we'd been trying to get on the road, that we'd been such great sports & been so patient that they decided to put the meal, the entire meal, on the house! I was blown away! I even offered for them to maybe send me the bill and I could pay online later when I got home, but they insisted that sometimes good things just happen to good people and that they were delighted to have had us. Truly an awesome staff and such authentic food and drink. The burgers were amazing by the way, and the side salad that it comes with is fantastic. The fries are too. We will absolutely be stopping here again the next time we're driving through on our way to Asheville. And if you're just looking for great food, music, people and drink, definitely give this place a try! The atmosphere is amazing! Thanks again Native! You guys made our entire trip home totally blissful. And thanks again to Emily for such incredible service and hospitality. Cheers! (Typed on my phone, lots of weird erros! haha)

Native did an amazing job last night even after the huge power outage across the county! The servers were so patient and attentive to our party of 9, including 3 kids, and the food was fabulous as always! Thank you Chef Jacob!!
We were there Saturday night when you had the Resonant Rouges playing. That’s why we were there!! Long wait but well worth it!! Bartender was great, food was awesome! Plus, you guys are close by!

I was honored to have the most perfect dish for lunch. The arugula salad with salmon, without hesitation was the best meal I have ever had in my life. Each component perfectly complimented each other.
When I find myself back down there, it will be the first meal I have. Compliments to the chef that afternoon.
Fun local hangout with a large selection of local beers, mixed drinks featuring sake and a creative menu of tasty fresh foods. Live entertainment in the evenings. Porch can be enclosed and there are heaters to keep it comfortable year round.
Be sure to try the popcorn brussel sprouts. They were a wonderful surprise that some friends convinced me to try...They were wonderful! We completely cleaned the plate.
Been there several times. Menu changes slightly every time. Usually has a good beer list too.

Our first time eating here. Very quaint and staff was very friendly. Our waiter was personable and knew the answers to our food questions. The Brussel sprout appetizer was fantastic!! Highly recommend it. Good selection of local beer. Our meals were delicious. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was due to our waiter kinda forgetting about us after our meal came. Even so, we would still go back.
