Love the selection, presentation and my go-to-LBI fresh seafood place.
However, there is a cranky owner/operator. Never bothered me until I recently watched him treat staff in not-so-nice fashion.
Not good.
Now I understand why he is constantly seeking additional help. Be nicer to your staff!!!

Super fresh seafood from local fisheries, sold in a family business by locals; this is what America is all about. BTW get there early if you want to try the Key Lime Pie. Best seafood market on the island period. Worth the drive from Holgate or Barnegat Light. Make it a point to check this place out.

Updating review- 8 years later and still loving it!! Can't wait for them to open again for the season in a few weeks. I recently moved from N Jersey to S Jersey and will drive the half hour from the mainland to get all my seafood. Don't really eat too much seafood when they're not open.. Will be good to see y'all again!!!

Seaside seafood market that allow you to buy local scallops, grab 2 lbs of steamers, or lobster, oyster, shrimps, fishes and go back to your beach house DIY dinner is really great.

We stopped here to get a special meal for our spontaneous day trip. This was our second stop looking for some seafood to enjoy. This place had a variety of great looking fish and other seafood. We ended up getting the shrimp platter, the seared tuna plater and the crab claw platter. Everything was great. The potions were larger than they appeared. We will definitely be back here when we return to LBI.

Went there recently and bought 100 clams. Surprisingly very reasonable price.Very fresh and clean with only 2 duds. The guys here were polite ,nice and helpful , highly recommend this place.

Great fresh seafood. Everything I picked out was great. Lots of local options. The Ahi Tuna, Tilefish, and Shark were standouts. And don't forget the Key Lime pie, the best on the island. The whole pie was devoured in minutes!!!!

Great fresh seafood. Key lime pie? I really love a good key lime pie. Saw one in the cooler and the girl behind the counter told us it was home made - her home. So we bought one and brought it home. I can tell you that we have vacationed on the east coast from Maine to Florida and this, hands down, is one of the best key lime pies we’ve ever had. Should have bought two to bring back home to upstate NY.

The Blue Claw is our favorite fish store on LBI. Small, family run and fresh! Knowledgeable as well. As an added bonus they also have the best key lime pie I've ever had, hand made by the owner's wife. Get there early before they run out.

Fantastic locally owned and operated family seafood market. I typically go for the swordfish, tuna and never forget to leave with two fresh key lime pies. If I'm on the island and blue claw is open I always stop by. No exceptions. LBI would not be the same without this establishment.

When I’m on LBI I usually get a bushel fir crabs here. Born and raised in MD I know crabs. These guys carry a lot of fresh seafood. It won’t be cheap. But you won’t be disappointed either. Soft shell, jumbo lump, and live crabs are what I get.

Fresh fish at reasonable prices. Limited hours until high season (Thurs to Mon). Very friendly & helpful staff. Regular season open every day.
Based on shopping for fish at other places on Long Beach Island, this is my go-to place. Very high quality fish (some of the best halibut I've seen on the island) with prices in line with other stores. For example, halibut here looked white, thick & fresh. At another fish market the halibut was thinner & grey by comparison.
