Review Las Palmeras - Sunset Beach

The margaritas are massive! Delicious food too. I had the fajita quesadilla with chicken and it was incredible. My husband also had an ice cold beer and chicken fajitas. Will be coming back!

This is a nice find in Sunset for authentic Mexican food. Decent beer selection. On this evening we had a mix of foods enchilada, burrito, and Pollo Loco. Enjoyed.

My wife and I went there today around 5:30. No wait and we were seated immediately. The waitress was prompt and took our drink and food order promptly. However that’s where the somewhat positive experience ended. I asked the waitress if the Taco Salad included fried beans, and she responded, “yes it does”. My wife’s fiesta chicken salad was ok but way too much sour cream — it should have been on the side. My taco salad with beef contained one small slice of tomato, lettuce, ground beef (which wasn’t bad) no fried beans and way too much sour cream — nothing else. Also, the margaritas were obviously a premix and half the size what we had there in the past. We had to ask another waiter to find our waitress to get our check, when she arrived, I again asked her if the Taco Salad should have included the fried beans, she said “yes”. She stated she would tell the manager. We expected an apology and/or a small discount — nope, the check was not modified and no explanation offered. As a side note, the plastic covered menus were disgusting. Bottom line — we’re not going back — there’s other Mexican restaurants in the area far superior to this one.

We had a great experience!! Our waiter was working extremely hard, he was one of only two there last night and was the hostess as well as the busboy AND waiter. Despite this, he gave us his undivided attention. He was incredibly kind, which is rare these days! Food came out hot and very quickly within 10 min and was delicious. Wonderful service and great food.

New to the area and decided to check this place out for some last minute super bowl food, and WOW. This place is amazing the food is top notch. I will be telling all my friends and family about this. Feels so good to have great food close to our new home.

I'm so sad! I work near by & have eaten here at least once a week for the last 5 years. Today while picking up my to go order one of the female wait staff was very rude to me! I spoke directly to the manager about it & she flipped me off while I was talking to him!!!(He didn't see her do that) He apologized by saying sorry we are super busy! I said that is no reason to be rude. He just shrugged his shoulder but then gave me my food at a discount. Because of her I will not be going back as I'm sure she will still be working there! Again I am so sad about this experience! In response back to Las Palmeras...if that waitress is still working there I will not be back. This was not the first time she had been rude to me. And I'm sure she is still working there. Have the feeling she just might be "family" so don't plan on returning!

By FAR the BEST MEXICAN FOOD I'VE HAD OUTSIDE OF MEXICO 🇲🇽!!♥️♥️ and I'm a true Mexican. We will be here EVERY chance we get when we are here. So glad we decided to eat here. Food amazing, service just as amazing! Thank you for the good experience!! Muy BUENO!!

There aren’t enough stars high enough to rate this restaurant. We have never had a bad meal here. Our waiter we usually get has been there about 6 years and that’s about how long we have been going. The food, service everything is spot on!!
