OMGOSH!!!! This place is absolutely AMAZING!!!! We were close by visiting family and saw the great reviews abs why not enjoy some good food. Needless to say we we quickly found out why people love this place. It’s a small restaurant but it’s both intimate and large enough to host many parties. We ordered our food and our server (Mario) was absolutely amazing. We scouted the menu and made our choices. The biste empalizado was a great portion as well as delicious. The chicharrones de pollo were excellent. All of our food tasted fresh, delicious and the portions were an excellent size. The maduros were also delicious and the rice and black beans were awesome.
Tuesday & Friday special is oxtail and it’s great. Funny story my wife loves oxtail but she didn’t see the special and ordered something different. When we finished our meal and she saw what the special was was bummed she didn’t try it out. Our server was so kind. He brought us a small sample for us so she can try it. Needless to say this is the reason why this place does as amazing as it does. What a kind gesture. We’ll definable be back.
Love coming here for lunch. Food and service are both great.

I've only ever had Rabo (oxtail) Friday lunch special all the times I've been here 😂. It's the most outstanding version with fall off the bone meat, delicate sauce with some olives, paired with rice. Red beans are very very good. Service is friendly, and food is fresh. Finish it off with a cuban coffee! Perfect Friday lunch.
I had been searching for awhile for a solid Cuban restaurant. I found it! Don Carlin is an amazing establishment. Food is great, it reminds me of other Cuban hot spots that I grew up with down here in south Florida. Complimentary Cuban bread, lunch specials are great...I prefer the Shredded beef. I had a cuban coffee to go which was smooth and perfectly made. I am unable to find any negatives for this wonderful gem. If you seek amazing, high quality Cuban cuisine.
My new favorite place for my cortadito habit ! I think the best cortadito in town (I take mine no sugar).
I was fortunate to be treated to a birthday dinner and snapper was the special. I ordered the snapper and enjoyed it tremendously. The food is authentically cuban and the environment welcoming.
The servers are courteous and well mannered. They sang " happy birthday 'mammsita' " 💕🤩🎂 over a courtesy flan dessert.
I love the convenient location close to my home, but I would definitely travel for the experience.
Tried this place a couple of days ago, and shame on me for not doing it before having lived in the area for a long time, but I digress. I will not go into the details but suffice to say, I will be ordering often. I had the ox tail and it was like home made. In fact, my mother-in-law (who makes some excellent ox tail) would be envious. My family feels the same way about their meals. So yes!!!! the gained new clients for sure!
Authentic Cuban food! The Churrasco, Ox tail, rice & black beans, Tostonies, ham croquettes & sweet plantains were fantastic. Will definitely order again or dine in & try out all the other dishes. Casual restaurant home style feel.
Love this place. I go there at least once a week. I love it not only because of the food but also because of the staff. They are all so nice! Love coming to this place to enjoy food and even have a chat with them lol
A fabulous an authentic Cuban meal! The staff was so gracious and courteous! Made us feel just like home! Portions were generous and the flavors were exquisite!

Read some reviews about this place and decided to try it on a Monday night. Staff is very friendly and we were promptly seated. I had Ropa Vieja (Shredded Beef on creole sauce) it was good so we’re the black beans and tostones. Don Carlin has real Cuban food. Café Cubano was excellent!
First time and will be back! Customer service was awesome and for being lunch time they served fast and in order ♥️🙏🏾 Lemonade was the BEST!!!
We read all the great reviews about Don Calin and they were right. This is the best Cuban restaurant in Broward County. I had a Cuban Sandwich and my wife had the yellow rice and chicken. Both were very good and authentic. I thought I was in Hialeah.
Update: My companion and I again returned to Don Carlin. We were greeted promply, seated and served hot Cuban bread and water. Today we both tried the Chicken and Shrimp dinner. It was excellent. Big piece of chicken, 4 large Shrimp and covered with a red sauce. Would definitely have again. Restaurant was clean, well kept, and the family keeps on checking on you. Definitely the best Cuban resturant in Broward. :)
Yesssss!!!!!! So so good!! It was chilly after. all the storms so I started with cafe con leche and it was perfect!! Foamy and delicious! Plantain chips and ham croquettes for the table and they did not disappoint! Everything was delicious and cooked beautifully!! I had the chicken breast with seared onions and the rice and beans and fried plantains. Our daughter had the Cuban sandwich and almost finished it and hubby had the fried pork chunks and ate every bite!
This is a surprisingly excellent restaurant which we discovered in 1992 when we moved from NYC and we still go there. Food workers and atmosphere is excellent.
Feels like home, good food & great service. Best passion fruit juice!
