Al Lago Restaurant

This is my favorite spot in my area. The food is amazing. Ive tried a few dishes there and always been very happy. I must recommend the Terra e Mare! Its a little on the spicy side but its bursting with flavors, the shrimp and the sausage pair together wonderfully and the sauce is excellent. Ive had that one a few times and I love it!

Just went there for a birthday dinner. I’ve dined there off and on for years. Love the ambiance in the bar, the food has always been delicious. The appetizers were delicious. However, both our dinners were not. Chicken parm, the chicken was over cooked and was not a cutlet. It was a thick piece of breast. Not pounded out, tough, overdone. My friend had the shrimp/chicken something. Sauce was bland, chicken pieces over cooked and shrimp rubbery. The waiter offered to bring something else, but since it was not his fault we said no. I’ve recommended this place to all my friends over the years. Very disappointed as my friend was treating me. On an upside, the drinks were good as were the appetizers, (calamari and the fried artichokes). I’m reluctant to recommend this to anyone now. I think you must have a new chef……not good! /

The explanation of the added 5% is not displayed or mentioned by the waiter / waitress until the customer receives the bill. It’s not on the website. This is an add on and NOT to be mistaken as gratuity. According to the waitress that assisted us it is meant for the cooks and their staff to help incentivize their continuance. I understand that times are challenging but please be up front on pricing. Despite this 5% the meal took longer than typical to be made and served. Don’t get me started on dessert (slice of cheesecake) which took longer.

Was there on a Friday night. My food was terrible, with tough tough chicken so hard to cut. Sent it back. Our waiter was nice, but they were incredibly understaffed so service was so-so; however, we felt it was not the waiter's fault at all. It was the restaurant. This is the second time I've been to Al Lago. After the first time, I swore I would never go back since the food was not good and overpriced. But, friends wanted to eat on the Al Lago deck. Deck was nice, BUT, cars raced by (raced purposely in a noisy way). Not so nice of a deck after all. And, combine that with "out-of-the-can" food, the only things I enjoyed were our friends and the bottle of wine. Avoid this place if you want good food, even descent food. This time, I'm NOT going back.

Was there this past Saturday for dinner and drinks. The last time we were here was during COVID when naturally many items and accessibility were scaled back. We were blown away by the significant increase in quality, value and freshness. The calamari was melt-in-your-mouth, the Lamb Shank special was superb along with the expertly-prepared drinks. There was live music as well. They have also remodeled/repainted the interior which was most welcome. Please KEEP up the good work. We will be back very soon!

The atmosphere was wonderful. Great outdoor space with crystal chandeliers, a view of the lake, and good music playing. The food was terrible. Our buffalo cauliflower was undercooked, the chicken was meh, the meatballs were overcooked and under seasoned, and our strawberry lemonades tasted like water with strawberry puree. Too bad. I really wanted to like the food here.
