Medium sized brewery that could probably fit between 40-60 people inside plus some outdoor seating.
The brisket sandwich was delicious but small, I would definitely pay more for the option to have 2 instead of the side of fries which was disappointing. The salad was also very good, the burger was average, and the pork belly bites were splendid.
The beer is pretty good with a decent amount of variety.
My wife and I are relatively new to the area making the rounds of the many breweries. Wide Awake located in Goose Creek a little off the beaten path of those located in Charleston and North Charleston. However don’t let that deter you from paying them a visit. Very friendly service , nice indoor / outdoor venue , food available and good ( not great) beer. We did a few flights which were generous pours and reasonably priced. We enjoyed some but not others as it’s a matter of taste. Their decor pays tribute to first responders and military enough of a reason for us to return.
The beer is cheap, but the food is pricey. They were sold out of the beers that I wanted to try so a friend and I opted for just the food and were delighted at how delicious it was. I'm glad to see somewhere like this in Goose Creek, finally! The staff was very helpful and friendly and I'll definitely be back. Don't forget to check out your local firemen's gear hanging up on the walls too! Cheers, friends 🍻

My husband and I stopped in for lunch and we’re really impressed. Tammy was our server and helped make it a really great first experience. We both had sandwiches and enjoyed them, both taking half home to eat later for dinner. The fries were spot on, nice and chunky and cooked to perfection. The hubs thought the beer was really good and I thought my hard cider was the best I’ve ever had. I hate the obnoxiously sweet stuff in the grocery store loaded with sugar, but this was a really nice light pleasant flavor.
We were accidentally given someone else’s appetizer while I was visiting the clean and well kept restroom (my husband wasn’t sure if he just hadn’t heard me order it) and we were pleased that following food code, even though we knew we hadn’t touched it and told Tammy as much that she couldn’t and didn’t take the plate over to the proper table. Rather than toss it she offered it to us, fried cauliflower and well… we may have to order it next time!
All in all it was a lovely atmosphere, and outside was a spacious seating area that would be fantastic to utilize as well! We’ll definitely be returning again. As the hubs said “it’s hard to find a brewery that has good beer AND good food!”

As of this writing the two halves of the restaurant/brewery are still getting set up, so a little cozy at the moment. The business is evolving and I look forward to seeing the final forms.
I’ll confess I’m more of a foodie than a craft beer person so I’ll leave the beer analysis to others. I was very impressed by the ambition of the food menu as well as my order of fried shrimp and oysters with house potato chips. I noticed many orders pass my food that looked quite tasty. Looking forward to trying out many dishes. Any chance you’d consider switching to Heinz ketchup?
Never had a bad meal here . Great staff and service. I love the reuse of the old fire station. Goosecreek "cheers".

Cool place established in 2019 in an old Fire Station. My first time there as I have been told it was a great place to hang out and have local craft beers and food. Plus live music on the weekends.. our food was okay, overcooked fried green tomatoes were quite tough. Maybe the kitchen had an off moment or so. The beer and music were a delight and the crowd was diverse. Everyone had a great time while we were inside.. there's outside dining and activities that were enjoyable as well. Giving the place a 5 star, even with our server being not well-trained. Tough to get good employees in a lot of areas and I don't know why. I would definitely back again for the atmosphere and give the wings or special a try. Cheers 🍻
