Review Babs Delta Diner - Suisun City

Portions, portions, portions! Wow, for the price that you pay, Bab's does NOT play. I was very surprised at how plentiful the plate was, especially since the sausage patty I ordered was unexpectedly HUGE and reminiscent of a smash burger 🍔 The fried rice option also took me by surprise and I opted to try; it did not disappoint. If you're ever in Suisun and stuck between deciding where to grab breakfast/brunch/lunch, this is a wonderful place to go. Shout-out to the awesome server we had as well, as she graciously accommodated for our large party of 13 with ease.

Went to Babs Delta Diner on a Sunday around noon. Short wait 15-20 mins. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. My table had the eggs Benedict, corn beef hash, and French toast. All three were solid. The diner is right on the inlet so there is a nice view of the water right outside.

I harp frequently about "service" Bab's has this down to an art. Kristy was the server, I have no idea how many times she refilled my cup, but it never was lower than an inch. The food was served very fast. So I ordered the French Toast Combo, and this was something new for me, their French Toast is made with sourdough bread. I found it rather unique, and liked it. It doesn't have an over the top flavor, its there and subtle but good. I liked it. The eggs were cooked perfect. The bacon had good flavor but was a little thin. The coffees flavor seemed light, not even medium but after drinking my never draining cup I got use to the light flavor. Overall a good experience. Parking is easy if you arrive early; there is a lot right in front of the building with about 40 slots. Street parking is all over the area as well. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Out door has a nice view of the Marina. Indoor has a bar for eating seats about 8 folks. Large groups should make reservations.

Must stop and try if you havent already! We have been wanting to try for some time. Bab's was worth the wait. Everything was good. Sat inside. Love all the windows and great water front view. We were immediately seated inside. It was full outside and filled up inside. Tried the chicken fajita omelet, good! 👍🏽 comes with salsa and sour cream on the side. Tried the half fried rice and half potatoes. What a great combo! Try it! Got Rod's Special, corn beef hash. That was great! 👏🏽👏🏽. Side pancake and biscuit and gravy. Now we know why there is always a wait at Bab's! We will be back. Plenty of parking around.

One of the best breakfasts We’ve ever had. My husband and I loved everything about this experience. We both ordered “Rod’s Special”, which is: Corned beef hash with cheddar cheese, poached eggs, potatoes, and toast. We also both chose to have our potatoes “with onions”, and we both chose rye toast. Everything was perfectly cooked. The potatoes were cut in thin slices and many were crispy. They were topped with a mixture of caramelized and green onions, which was delicious. The hash was homemade and fabulous, and the poached eggs were just right. The rye bread that the toast was made from, seemed to be freshly baked. The amount of food was more than generous, neither of us could finish everything. Our server was exceptionally professional and friendly. We dined outside near the water, which was especially appreciated, given the pandemic. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Haven't been to Bab's for a few years and it was one of favorite breakfast places. I understand that the owner died and it reflects in the food. Eggs ordered over-easy and they arrived over-medium to hard. Ham slice was smaller in diameter and thickness than previously. It was also rather dry as were the potatoes. Coffee is still very good. In fairness, my guest ordered bacon and eggs over-easy and she would rate the breakfast very good. It was her first time here. As for the wait staff, they were EXCELLENT as always. Very responsive and friendly.

Haven't been to Bab's in a few years, last time I had the Chicken Fried Steak it was "Real" Cube Steak and well worth the wait..! Today I found the Chicken Fried Steak to be Pre-prepared heat & eat variety paddies you can get at any dive restaurant. It looks like when I have a hankering for Chicken Fried Steak I'll be heading to the Black Oak Restaurant in Vacaville for the Fried Pork Chop breakfast, at least they use real pork sirloin steaks which is the bomb by the way.. Thank you for the education this morning.. You use to be worth the wait, Not anymore..

I’ve lived in Suisun City for about, over 6yrs now and to now know that this place is near by, is heaven. For first timers...it’s now a spot we’ll come too. Great quality/quantity of food. There specials are definitely something to try. Had great service. It’s definitely also nice to know specially with summer weather coming... eating outside, facing the water, and taking a walk after breakfast...sounds like a perfect spot to me!!

The view of the marina is really nice, but the place needs a little cleaning and update. We were seated near a trash can with flies flying around it. A lot of people eat there so I was willing to ignore the facility if the food is good. Unfortunately, the food was just okay, nothing special about it. Our server was very nice and efficient.

The wait staff was friendly and efficient. The food was very good. They don't have a kids menu so I ordered my little boy a pancake and they were nice enough to make him a plate of "silver dollar size", he loved them! If we are back in the area again we'll definitely come back.

Love the mini breakfast with bacon & English muffin at Bab’s! Always hits the spot! Love their coffee, Hazelnut creamer . I always say I’ll try something different next time. But I typically get this.

I love Babs! It's our "special Occasion" place. Yesterday morning we got married and couldn't think of anyplace else we'd rather have brunch. I love that the staff is consistently the same people for years. I loved sitting on the waterfront having brunch celebrating another occasion with you 😊

I will give it a 1star. Went in and ordered a blt and had them put turkey on the sandwich. The menu said fresh cooked turkey. It was processed turkey. YUCK! They'd better get their menu straightened out. It wasn't very good. Won't be going back.
