I was originally referred to this restaurant by a friend who did long haul trucking. In the years since my friends, family and I have eaten here on a number of trips. We've tried a pile of different dishes and some of us have dietary restrictions and have never had any notable complaints about the food or service. It's never mattered when we stopped here to eat. At 2am the staff has been friendly and the food has been great. In the middle of a breakfast or dinner rush the experience has been the same. The menu has changed some over the years, as expected, but there's always a solid variety and the portions are generous. Also, the desserts are tasty if you have room and need something sweet after a meal. Additionally, try something from the bakery. Their Kringle is fantastic.

I like my omelet/skillet fresh and Iron Skillet can deliver. Each time I go fishing to Wisconsin, I stop by for my breakfast at the IS in Racine. Polite staff and very good food, even coffee is really not bad;) keep it going guys!
