Loved this place!! Service was great and our waitress was very friendly and gave us a few laughs which we appreciated. Visited during a night with live music that created a fun and relaxing atmosphere. Menu offers a few unique choices for the daring foodie. The banana chicken entree was fantastic an
We had tuna poke 🇯🇵 and Italian mushroom flatbread 🇮🇪. - Two cultures you rarely see together :-) John took great care of us, so so friendly! Excellent food and wine and a relaxing atmosphere.. thank you Beth for the quick response to my email. Sorry the food pics are 1/2 eaten. We couldn't wait!
5 star quality hands down, amazing flavors done perfectly! Enjoyed everything we ordered.
I really liked this little bistro. They have a really good wine selection. We are not used to small, fancy portions. With that said, the food we had was really pretty and very tasty. Unfortunately, my girls were still hungry when we left so we picked up something before we went back to the hotel. Ni
This is truly a hidden gem in Sturgeon Bay. The two people that seem to keep this place going (guy in the kitchen and woman out front) are amazing. The owner of this place should feel fortunate he has these two working for them. For someone who knows little about wine and doesn't care for much of it
What a fabulous evening! Christine the manager at the restaurant is extremely knowledgeable about the wines and was a pleasure to talk to throughout the evening. She suggested a variety of wines all of the which were enjoyable and delicious. The food was excellent as well and went with wine beautifu
My husband and I walked into roots to buy Fat Louie’s oils that I love so much to use for cooking back in Chicago. Christine the General Manager suggested a wine tasting and the Parmesan truffle fries. Wow we’re we blown away, she’s extremely knowledgeable when it comes to wine. The fries were great
We stumbled upon this place while looking for something to drink before having dinner and ended up staying for over 3 hours. John was our bartender and he turned out to be one of the nicest and most knowledgeable bartenders we've ever had; very personable and just an all around nice guy. Alicia was
Absolutely love this place! Great way to share a variety of different delicious foods with a group of friends and family. Chefs have a great attention to detail and the subtleties in the recipes pay off big for the taste buds. It's not just eating, it's a complete experience. You will leave Root glo
Creative and delicious food, plated with care and sophistication, but priced affordably. Their olive oil selection and wine list is equally impressive and the live jazz music on a Friday night earns five stars.
Super great place. The lady who was working the wine bar with Silver hair had a lot of cool stories and gifted us a free bottle and let us sample all Door Penninsula wines free as well as some that weren't exactly that brand but she thought we would like. Definitely check this place out!
We stopped for lunch and a wine tasting. Our food was spectacular and we took several bottles of delicious wine home with us. Alicia and John were amazing, we had a wonderful time chatting with them!
Very cozy yet classy atmosphere. The staff was incredible. John was amazing. Incredibly knowledgeable with personality to match. I am not the biggest wine person, & I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Great afternoon
What more can you say? Good wine, good friends, good times! We didn't get food here but the place smelled exorbitantly delicious! The wine was awesome. The Winestress( yes I made that up) poured us all a java infused wine and cream beverage that was soooooooo good. We will be back. Again and again.
Wonderful food. Everything tasted amazing and the food was all presented beautifully. Staff was great as well. I liked that they brought out each tapa 1 at a time. My husband ordered 4 different tapas which was plenty for us. The gorgonzola fondue I think was my favorite. My 2nd favorite was the sea
Wonderful first experience at Root's last night with my darling wife. Christina was our server and made the evening delish... she even brought her own tea pot that we sharred. We read several reviews that the portions were small and people left hungry... We did NOT find this to be the case. We share
Fabulous service and the best tuna I've had in ages. Don't pass this little gem by! Stop in for a romantic dinner or for a quiet dinner with the family. They do accommodate for children and had a live jazz group playing while we were there. Be sure to stop in!
