A perfect gem. We dined outdoors near the fountain. Our server was Rose and she took wonderful care of us. The food was delicious and we enjoyed everything including the wine and tiramisu and creme limoncello dessert drink. A lovely evening.

Best hidden gem in downtown Stuart! They accommodated our party of 11 without hesitation! Excellent food and the waitress Rose was exceptional! Our new favorite place when we visit Florida!

Charming Restaurant with great food and lovely staff. Wine list was wonderful. My husband had a delicious Sicilian cabernet. I had a great French rose. Our main course included a delicious salad. Homemade limoncello was a nice treat at the end of dinner. Loved it !!!

This place is a hidden GEM! We went there recently with a party of 6, sat outside in the front which is so beautiful and it is reminiscent of a restaurant on the streets of Italy. Every one of our dishes were fabulous, even the roasted vegetables! Somehow they made them taste incredible. Our server Amanda was so attentive, fun and just plain adorable. Love this place❤️❤️❤️

Incredible find! We visit Stuart quite frequently and have never noticed this little italian gem. We were immediately seated on the back patio since we didn't have a reservation for inside. But honestly, we liked thos location better, especially since it was a beautiful night. Warm and very soft bread was brought to our table and our drink order was taken right away. We usually don't buy a bottle of wine, but they were priced pretty fairly. We decided on the calamari for an appetizer and were quite impressed, instead of cocktail sauce they provided their house marinara...close to the best I've ever had. For dinner my wife had the veal marsala and had the tuscan veal. Both were perfectly cooked and extremely tasty. The service was top notch too. We had three people constently doting on us to make sure We had everything we needed and dirty dishes were quickly removed. We cannot wait to go back and try more items on tbe menu. Truly a great find, one of favorite new restaurants.

Good authentic dine in Italian food with an older style Key West atmosphere. A good Florida dining experience
Renee Alfonsi
Good food but they didn't have all menu items available.

We honestly did love this restaurant. The service was very good, attentive but not rushed. This is an upscale dining experience at an affordable pricing. I took a quick tour of the place and they offer several dinning options, from the courtyard, to the patio to several rooms you could bring guests and have privacy. I loved the courtyard! One of the tastiest dinner salads I’ve ever had. The red sauce was delicious, and the cream lemon cello was an unexpected treat! We live near by and we’ll definitely be back!

A friend and I happened on this beautiful place a while back ( off the beaten path in downtown Stuart) and said one day we would try it. Last night we did, and what a great experience we had! The place is spotlessly clean, and the food was Devine. Our waiter, Frank was attentive, and very helpful with menu questions. Service was fantastic, and I'm not sure I ever enjoyed a meal so much. Loved it, perfection

This Bistro is our favorite hidden gem in Historic Downtown Stuart. The food is consistently wonderful and the chef/owner cooks to your specifications, if needed. We never miss an opportunity to have a relaxing meal at 18 Seminole. The ambiance of the cafe is equally wonderful.

Great service. Best calamari I have ever had. Ask him to add jalapeño. All of the food and wine was delicious. Would highly recommend.
Wendy Watson Vazquez
Everything was excellent. Had eggplant tower for appetizer, it was one-of-a-kind! The salad was one of the best We've ever had. Our meals were wonderful and so big that we were able to take leftovers home and have a second great meal on the following night at home!! Had a wonderful dessert followed by a complementary lemoncello. Can't wait to come back!!

Great meal and service. The soup was wonderful and my meal was perfect. My favorite Italian restaurant!

The food was delicious. The house salad with their own house made dressing was wonderful and the food will bring us back. The little cottage is decorated very eclectic and fun to look at. Well done owner.

Oy vey.... apparently the food is better on even days, than odd days. .. just my luck, we went on a romantic outing on an odd day. My date had the chicken Scarpiello, they earned a solid C+ on that. ... I went with the Shrimp Fradivalo. Which earned then a D... it would have been an F, but the the prawns were enormous, if they hadn't been cooked to death, they might have been tasty. .. accompanied by what must have been sauce out of jar. .. the dinnrr and service was a flop. I give them two stars, only because they had the nerve to charge so much, for si little. Otherwise I would have given then one.

Wonderful little hidden gem. Food and wine were amazing. Nice atmosphere. Staff were all very attentive!

Definitely a 5 star restaurant with amazingly delicious dishes, especially the Veal Sorrentino, and thank you for introducing us to a great wine Llama Malbec; now our favorite Malbec! ;-)

Love this restaurant! The bread, salad and seafood on pasta were delicious. I will return!

Made reservations for 6 6:30 pm 12/17/16. Got hustled to the back porch even though there were tables available inside. Had the worst waiter ever! Non attentive. Our main course took 1hr 30 mins to arrive, after our salads! Waiter was nowhere to be found. Finally he appeared, said it was coming right out. Still took 20 mins more. This is an Italian restaurant and the waiter informed us 40 mins after we initially ordered they ran out of Lasagne. We were slightly annoyed waiting so long for the main course and the waiter offered us free desserts and ice teas. 1:30 hrs waiting for the main course is unacceptable!!!! Tables around us, seated later, were done with their meals before we got the main course! When we went to order the "free" desserts-2 of them to be exact-he said his manager says only 1 per table! We declined the small slice of cheesecake he tried to set on the table and will never return or recommend this place! He still charged us for the 2 ice teas! What a waste of $250!!!! Need to get more attentive wait staff! Or put 2 waiters on the back porch! The food was average, the ambiance on the back porch was bad! Had better meals and service at Carrabbas!

Food was absolutely outstanding, the service was on bestowed upon me. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Even personal shotgun wedding

How disappointing that this charming venue with fabulous cuisine delivered a stomach-turning dining experience when its owners/ waiters threw a tantrum several feet from our table.  The loud foot stomp on the wooden floor and elevated angry voices sent negative energy throughout the room.  The place left a bad taste in my mouth.

Very Disappointing. This restaurant came highly recommended by the proprietor of the inn we stayed at. Our party of 5 arrived at 7 for our reservation, which was made a week prior, waited 15 minutes (ok) only to be told it would be another 30 before we would be seated. When I complained, the host seated us outside at a small table for 4 that could barely contain all our glasses. It took awhile to be waited on. This was a Saturday night in high season.<br/><br/>At 9 pm, we still had not received our main course, though we were assured it was next and "didn't anyone tell you the kitchen was backed up?" About 15 min later, it arrived. 4 of us got the highly recommended special, seafood on home-made angel hair. This was supposed to include a whole lobster, shrimp and scallops. It was awful. The seafood was rubbery and tasteless (there were scraps of lobster claw and an overabundance of bay scallops and a couple of shrimp). I'm from New England so I know what fresh seafood tastes like.<br/><br/>The final insult was when the waiter brought us the restaurant's highly touted limoncello that he'd even promoted at the beginning of our meal. They'd run out, so only enough for 3. They did serve each of us a complimentary glass of wine, but honestly, it was a poor and unsuccessful attempt to make up for poor service and even worse food. We let our innkeeper know.

Fantastic!!!. LOVE this restaurant. Went with friends to celebrate a birthday and it was absolutely perfect. First of all the restaurant is a house that has been converted to a restaurant so it feels so warm and inviting. lovely outdoor patio which i'd try next time but it was a bit too cold for us so we went inside. the service was perfect, never had to look around for our waiter but never felt like they were standing over us . . . perfect. and the food . . . !!!!! what more can i say. we were 4 people who all ordered different food and each of us were more than happy. from the appetizers (eggplant tower, mozzarella tomato) salads, dinners (2 different veal dishes and 2 fish dishes), dessert - all delicious. will not only go back again but will rave (and already have) about it to our friends.

Great place, great food, great atmosphere, great staff. This is a wonderful restaurant. The only thing I don't like about it is that it's not in PA where I live. If I lived here, I would be here weekly, but since I don't, I visit every time I'm in the area.

Super!!. Just got back from a cruise and this meal was WAY better than anything on the cruise. I had veal braccole (sp) and absolutely loved it!! My husband had the Chilean Sea Bass, and could have licked the plate if I let him. The salad is wonderful. My only complaint is that the portions are so big I had no room left over for dessert.

Excellent. Our experience was nothing short of excellent, from appetizer to main course. The service was outstanding and we will return soon.

Disgusting!! Terrible!!. I spoke with the chef in December 2013-he had explained that he uses all organic, fresh ingredients and that he prep his food every three days.<br/>Absolutely terrible from start to finish!!!!! Service and food was not good at all. We sat down with our 18 month old daughter and started with Pellegrino (smallest bottle I've seen for $4.95!) We then decided to have the eggplant trio entrée as an appetizer to share with our daughter. A bottle of Pinot Grigio, I ordered the veal marsala and my husband ordered the shrimp scampi- we ordered based on the employee recommendations. <br/><br/> The server came back and poured the wine and didn't show me the bottle (I didn't think anything of it, because I was busy entertaining our daughter) It tasted fine- and the after he poured the wine into our glasses- we saw the label and it was Chardonnay-we ordered Pinot Grigio!<br/><br/>Sometime later we get our appetizer and it was a tomato mozzarella tower. Say what we ordered the eggplant?! we sent it back however that was a bad idea!!!- we receive the eggplant trio- it was not warm! it was salty! and it tasted like it was microwaved because the cheese was rubber! it looked liked something from Stouffer's frozen food!<br/>our daughter spit it out- we then knew why!<br/>the server came back and checked on us, but never cleared our salad plates.<br/><br/>Then my husband was served one of the veal dishes along with the side of pasta and tomato sauce-we ordered shrimp scampi and veal marsala. turns out it was supposed to go to another table- and that's exactly what occurred, they took the food they served my husband and gave it to another table!!! It was like something from Gordan Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares.<br/><br/>my husband had his glass of Pellegrino half full, one of the servers came along and filled with ice water?! there were only 2 to 3 tables seated in the restaurant.<br/><br/>we finally get our food-it looked like slop on a plate for $23 each. my husband's shrimp scampi looked like soup thickened with tons of cornstarch.<br/>the side of pasta and tomato sauce was garnished with the crappy grated Kraft Parm cheese- it looked like it should've been on a buffet at Piccadilly or Sizzler!<br/>The veal marsala tasted like thick beef bouillon cube water with sugar syrup. It was absolutely terrible!!! the veal was overcooked and garnished with steamed spinach with no seasoning!!! the mushrooms had no salt or flavor.<br/>I ate 1/2 piece of veal- the server never offered to help to make it better. my husband ate his shrimp but no pasta soup.<br/>the server came to offer dessert- We said no. she offered complimentary lemoncello to us- we said no. and she said "what no vodka for the adults to wake you up?!"<br/>We said no again.<br/>We will never go back!! How dare a chef tells customers that he uses fresh, local, organic produce and food and then makes a meal that was an embarrassment to the culinary/hospitality industry!!

Outstanding. From the fresh warm bread and seasoned dipping oil to the salad and entree this is one of the best meals I have had ever in an Italian restaurant. We have dined at some of the best paces in Florida, New York, and the North End of Boston and 1800 Seminole is right on par with the best. My wife had Lasagna with a side of Meatballs and I had Veal Parmaesan both were cooked to order and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this quaint and romantic little gem situated in an old Florida home that has been converted to a restaurant in the downtown historic district of Stuart.

We had the back room reserved for us as we had a group of ten friends. The food was wonderful and the prices reasonable. We could not believe the portions we received. The service was extremely attentive. What a great find in Stuart. We highly recommend it. It was a wonderful evening for all of us.

MIxed Results. Went to 18 Seminole Street Bistro last night with family. Did not have a reservation. We did not have to wait too long, but it seems reservations on a weekend are probably a good idea. We had high hopes as people on the street were saying how good it was and the reviews are all generally positive. We were seated at a way too small table that was uneven so that wasn't great, but it was better than waiting another hour to be seated. Like most Italian places they start you off with bread and olive oil for dipping- their oil mixture was very good. Salads were also good. The broccoli rabe was a bit bitter. One diner had shrimp scampi and proclaimed it to be "very good" as was the veal marsala. We were excited to try the chef's special shrimp dish- but 2/2 diners did not like it at all. The breading on the shrimp tasted off to both of us. One of the entrees was removed from our bill, which was not expected, but nice as it was not eaten. The marinara sauce is quite delicious as mentioned in other reviews; so picking a pasta dish is probably a safer option. While it says food is freshly prepared and to expect a wait, the wait was very, very long. At least a 45 minute wait between salad and main entree (after a wait just to get the salad! Server was friendly. Beer and wine only. Our experience may have been an "off moment" for the place, but we probably wouldn't go back any time soon.

Diners Beware!!!!. The owners have no integrity or social graces. They do not pay their employees. They owe an employee $32.00 for over two months. And, they still haven't paid it. They are weasals. I wonder how much they owe their food distributors. Apparently, they have a cash flow problem. They won't last long.

Amazing Experience Beginning to End. I had an amazing experience at this establishment from the moment I walked through the door. The staff was very pleasant and willing to fulfill my requests in a timely manner. All of the food was spectacular as well! I was full before the main course even came! The bread was delicious, the salad had a perfect amount of dressing on it, and the calamari was prepared perfectly! My choice for a main course was the Eggplant Trio, which I would highly recommend. The portions were so large that I gladly took half of it home. Even though I was too full, I followed up a great meal with a sample of a variety of delicious desserts. I was also met at the door, on the way out, by the same smiling and pleasant staff. It was an experience worth repeating!

Heaven!. I never write reviews but I had to tell everyone how wonderful this place is. I had the eggplant parm and I could not put my fork down until it was completely gone. My husband had the meaty lasagna and loved it! We also had fresh bread, and sauteed broccoli with garlic.....all amazingly yummy.<br/>We will be back for more!

NOT MY FIRST CHOICE FOR ITALIAN. We were initially impressed with the new paint and clean atmosphere.of the restaurant. Unfortunately the meal did not match the decor. Our first disappointment was the bread. It reminded me of mom's old brown and serve rolls, no taste, no crust. What kind of an Italian restaurant doesn't use quality cheese on fettuccine alfredo or have a pepper grinder on the premises? The Veal Saltimbocca was overdone and required a steak knife to cut through the veal. Nice presentation, but unedible. Wife's shrimp was OK, but penne pasta sauce tasted like out of a jar.<br/>. Waitress was very good and we hope she finds work at a place that will stay in business.

Delicious. My favorite meal from this excellent Bistro is the Eggplant Trio. My mouth is watering as I write this. The salad is perfect, the bread, omg!! love it. Desserts, again, OMG!! Italian cheesecake, tirimasu, canolis, etc........Our waiters were friendly, knowledgable and attentive. I'LL BE BACK!!!!

My new Favorite Restaurant. I have visited the Restaurant four times I have had the Chicken Parmesan twice.....once eaten in and once a take out .....it was outstanding the marinara sauce is to die for.... the chicken was so tender with plenty of fresh cheese both time's the portions were so large I had plenty left over for another meal and tasted just as good the second time around........ the Special Chefs shrimp was out standing the sauce a pleasure to your taste buds....the salad was fresh and crisp and the dressing was very good..... the fresh warm bread was delicious with a lovely dipping oil and no hesitation when my party asked for more.......the finale meal I had their was shrimp scampi...it was outstanding............my new favorite dish............I will definitely be back....<br/>the Restaurant itself is spotless and the staff pleasant and capable of large crowd's.........A wonderful Place to go for an Italian Meal you won't be disappointed........

My New Favorite Restaurant. Enjoyed my meal at 18 Seminole Street very much. The calamari was done just right and the salad was served with a delicious balsamic dressing. The eggplant was stuffed with cheese with a side of spaghetti and the sauce was better than any I have ever had. Can't wait to return so that I can try another item on the menu.

Better then Grandma's. We started with fried Calamari it was cooked just right, tender not chewy.<br/>Followed by a generous portion of the house salad, my entree was a hardy portion of Lasagna and a side of Meat Balls, the Lasagna was better then Grandma's (sorry Nana) and the Meat Balls were made with real meat not just bread crumbs. All in all the experience was more then pleasureable.<br/>On a scale of 1 to 10 a solid 10. My only regret was not having room for dessert.
Pat
Super Evening out. Great experience, We was very pleased with the meal and atmosphere, Waitress was very friendly.<br/>Had Veal Parm. with penne one of the best I have had, Salad was crisp and dressing tasty.<br/>also came with hot bread with dipping oil.<br/>Will be going back again for sure.
Don
Bad from the start. Salad with 1/2 baby tomato and 1/2 of a small cucumber. Salad dressing was lacking and just dripped on plate proior to salad being placed.<br/>Then came the bread. Ugh.<br/>For the main I request chicken parm. It should be renamed bread crumbs parm. The chicken was missing! A very skimpy thin layer of chicken? but I could not taste it. I guess they figured the sauce and too much salt would be enough flavor<br/>Extremely poor. Does not even compare to a chain itallian resturant.<br/>They desperatly need Chief Ramsey!
