Kumo - Stony Brook - Photo album

Incredible, as usual. Their tuna remains to be some of the most tender, softest, melt in your mouth cuts I've ever had. The Uni was a treat. The only miss was the Kumo roll which was a waste of lobster meat... I would have gone with any other roll tbh. Otherwise, the appetizers were great, especiall
I’m giving Kumo a five for three reasons. 1: long time customer 2: have done birthdays and celebrations here 3: the sushi, hibachi, drinks, staff, and sushi chefs are exceptional. The chandeliers and the decor are wonderful. Having the music playing and sports on the tv’s is a plus. A couple of pet
I recently dined at Kumo Japanese in Stony Brook for dinner and had a delightful experience. The fried calamari was perfectly crispy and tender, providing a delicious start to the meal. The egg fried rice was flavorful and well-seasoned, complementing the other dishes beautifully. The highlight of t
We went out for Korean BBQ, but it was closed. So naturally our next choice was close by and not closed. We have had sushi many times, but it was our first time here. Delicious is all I can say!! Everything was well presented and delicious. My picky 15 y/o son even got adventurous and tried a ne
Loved it. Sunday we went in the first morning when they opened. They cleaned the floor with bleach. The bathroom is clean (it didn't smell. I hate it when it smells and, if not clean. Good.... Fresh foods. I love hot tea. Great work, guys.
We had 2 parties here that were perfect. Staff is amazing, very helpful and polite. Food is always delicious and nice portion. Hubby and I have been here over 10 times without any complaints. We highly recommend!
Nice place to meet friends, eat and have fun. The hibachi lunch was amazing and I also liked the hot green tea. The place is beautiful with unique modern décor. A bit noisy for business meetings, but good for company with friends. It was also nice to know that they are open on Monday.
Whether we get take out or dine in the food is always excellent... Never any problem there. Sushi is always fresh and of high quality. The hibachi is always excellent and served hot I knocked a star off for the service... At this price level things should pretty much be spot on. Drinks shouldn't r
Nice place for sushi. They have omakase bar too but I just sat at a table. This place is really busy but food was served really fast! I was surprised. And taste was good too. Price was reasonable. I really liked it.
The hibachi was a show worth watching! However, the food had a little too much sauce & salt for me. The shrimp is good, but the steak of lesser quality. Also, the service can occasionally be more polite.
The place still clean.. The last time I visited this was 4yrs ago... surprised they kept clean... The foods was really good and fresh..
The place is cool with family and friends. The Chiefs are entertaining and quick. The food tastes great and throw some surprises at you!
Visited this place for the first time and was pleasantly surprised.the restaurant is big enough, with several halls.the food was delicious especially the portions of the noodle soup.In general, I really liked the atmosphere there.Nice music ,polite waiters.I recommend visiting this place.
For Birthday gave blow up pump hats nice for kids but didnt do anything for birthday for my 11 yr old except for shooting saki down the throat until we gave him a tip.
Kumo is my favorite Japanese style restaurant. They offer a full sit down dining area and an expansive menu of options. They also have their gold star hibachi area which serves as a great source of entertainment and family-centric atmosphere. They have a full bar, plenty of space to accommodate larg
